[CRASH] UniGetUI 2026.1.6: Process choco.exe outdated is running 13 times as multiple tasks and is using 100% CPU and 9GB of RAM #4636

Please confirm these before moving forward.

• I have tried deleting a folder named UniGetUI under %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\UniGetUI.
• I have tried reinstalling UniGetUI.
• I have tested that this issue has not been fixed in the latest (beta or stable) release.

Today, we noticed that UniGetUI:

1. has started choco.exe outdated times
2. is using 100% CPU
3. and 9 GB RAM

I think UniGetUI must monitor every process it starts and always force it to close if it runs for too long.
If any process runs e.g. for longer than, say, 2 hours, then it is 99% certain that something is wrong.

This looks very interesting:

It looks like UniGetUI always starts the choco.exe outdated process two times because Windows reports that the processes used this much CPU time:

• 2 processes used 33 and 34 minutes of CPU time
• 2 processes used 95 and 96 minutes of CPU time
• 2 processes used 157 and 158 minutes of CPU time
• 2 processes used 219 and 220 minutes of CPU time
• 2 processes used 406 and 407 minutes of CPU time
• 2 processes used 469 and 470 minutes of CPU time

This is interesting because:

1. UniGetUI always starts up choco.exe outdated twice, with about a minute's wait between each instance
2. After 60 minutes, UniGetUI starts the process choco.exe outdated twice again
