With VS Code R 3.0, sess::connect() always prints:
[sess] Connected to VS Code
and then manually redraws getOption("prompt") via:
|
cat(sprintf("\r%s\n\n%s", msg, prompt)) |
This causes two small UX issues:
- There doesn’t appear to be any option to suppress the successful connection message.
- Re-printing
getOption("prompt") can result in a stray/duplicated prompt when another prompt renderer is in use. For example, with arf I see:
[sess] Connected to VS Code
>
R 4.6.1>
Would it be possible to make the connection message configurable (e.g. options(sess.quiet = TRUE)) and/or avoid manually re-printing getOption("prompt")?
