Enable GitHub discussions to be consistent between repositories #708

Closed

Description

@raulcd

Describe the enhancement requested

Should we enable discussions to be consistent between projects?

We recently enabled discussions on the main Apache Arrow repository, see:

Discussions are also enabled on:

They are currently not enabled on Java / Go and Julia implementations. Should we enable them?

This PR got merged about documenting it and I found the lack of consistency unnecessary.

    I've opened the issue here I don't think I have to triplicate the issue, I'll just ping Go and Julia people here :)

    Thanks @lidavidm !
    I've opened a PR on the arrow-go repository which should be the last repo without them enabled:
    apache/arrow-go#353
    Once merged, I'll update the docs.
