Move STeVe's project metadata into .asf.yaml using the supported project.metadata section, and enable synchronization to Apache Trusted Releases. Delete doap_steve.rdf, including its outdated single-person maintainer attribution, so the project metadata reflects community ownership.

Preserve the project description, category, and programming languages, use the canonical Apache STeVe name, and update the website, mailing-list, and repository links to their current HTTPS locations.

This is the metadata step of the website migration. A separate STeVe PR will rebuild the website in this repository and generate a compatibility DOAP file from .asf.yaml. Once that file is published and verified, the Comdev project feed can be updated to use it, completing the migration away from the stale SVN metadata. Until that change, projects.apache.org continues to read the existing SVN file and will not receive these metadata updates.

Validation:

  • ASF's asfyaml-validate accepts the complete configuration (validator revision c10410aed8ea066e48826fc4bae0f9cf1dfe9025).
  • uv run ruff format . — 27 files unchanged.
  • uv run ruff check --fix . — passed.
  • uv run mypy --ignore-missing-imports . — passed for 18 source files.
  • git diff --check — passed.
  • GitHub Actions: Linting and Type Tests passed.
