Description
Part of #84 and #89. The existing source-Home CI jobs run on Linux x86-64 (ubuntu-24.04), Linux ARM64 (check name ubuntu-24.04-arm, actual runner ubuntu-22.04-arm) and Mac (macos-14). This task makes each job prove the installed Home journey from a signed SmolLM2 package to a visible Assistant reply.
Done means
- On all three machines, a fresh isolated Home Gets the pinned, signed SmolLM2 package through Content and gets a real local reply through the installed Runtime and normal Assistant controls.
- CI saves Home screenshots at desktop and phone width, plus Marketplace-ready and Assistant-reply images, as run artifacts.
- The job summary names the candidate commit/tree, installed Runtime SHA-256 and each journey result. Provider, engine and model receipts bind the same candidate. Final owned-process cleanup and disk reserve pass.
- The PR states the measured added CI time.
- Home remains usable when the optional model engine is absent or refused. Default Home setup excludes engine/weights; signed installed releases acquire the engine on demand, and explicit Use explains an unsupported host. Source CI installs its licensed engine prerequisite explicitly.
Status: QA / Review. PR #208 is merged. PR #153 now publishes final head 3495ddf4 to develop. Both compiled publication gates pass. Current-head independent reviews and installed source-Home CI proof pass. Signed-release on-demand model-engine proof and required irzhywau approval remain before normal merge.
Browser plan reconciliation — 2026-10-08
#288's signed installer fixtures and producer/consumer role-closure checks can run in the suitable existing CI environment. #293 retains actual VZ/KVM, physical-network, media/manual and soak evidence for each advertised Browser row. A hosted runner without working Engine virtualization records the refusal or viewer scope. CI installed coverage and exact artifact provenance complement the named Mac/Jetson product receipts.

Divergence is 0 behind / 0 ahead the published PR branch; all 45 commits were fast-forwarded from 064c5729 to 3495ddf4. Anders approved completion through normal merge into develop on 8 October, subject to these gates. The sole shared task path in the newest integration is setup.rs; UI, model-provider, fixture, journey and workflow bytes match tested202b.
Exercised checks. Current candidate 3495ddf4 passes all 53 CI policy tests in 37.921 seconds, shell syntax and git diff --check. Its canonical just ci-local-prepush passes exact 3495ddf4 in 1,179.09 seconds: 4,079 passing crate/bin unit cases, 17 workspace/all-target checks, 2 selected Clippy commands, product-data and format gates. HEAD/tree/base remain unchanged and clean. The initial busy-lease refusal started zero builds. Previous exact 202b460d passes the full gate: 4,072 unit cases, 17 workspace checks, 2 Clippy commands, product-data and format gates in 1,066.35 seconds, with unchanged clean HEAD/base. Prior narrow refusal, signed-engine, projection, startup-profile, host CPU-budget and guard/process tests passed. Current-head hosted installed-model receipt/media acceptance passes. The full CI run completes with success; independent admission of the final Mac signed-update artifacts and required human approval remain open. The retired Home source-text entropy script stays retired; current product-data/format gates cover the relevant surface.
Reviews. Independent development review passes exact 3495ddf4 / tree 07fa63c9. Signed-CID engine fetch, checksum/size verification, installation-writer ownership, signed-release revalidation, fixed refusal and ARM checks survive the integration. Claude Opus passes the current integration in 178.32 seconds, with no blocking finding. Download inactivity semantics are accepted develop behavior from #113; startup umask preserves stricter inherited permissions. These reviews cover source; installed CI and human approval remain separate. Published-head Claude Opus review passes exact 3495ddf4 / tree 07fa63c9 through elastos-pr-review 153 --no-post, exit 0 in 150.46 seconds. It covers Runtime readiness authority, privacy, refused cases, signed acquisition checks, shared client parsing, CPU ceilings and CI receipt integrity. Its temporary read-only checkout and scratch directory are removed. Note dispositions on this head: measured successful CI cost remains required and will be added to the PR after CI; hosted CI Home data retains the bounded job lifetime, with stopped owned processes and reserve checks; the ARM-call note is rejected from complete source context because projection at preparation.rs:2555 calls local_model_startup_profile, whose existing line2281 invokes verify_arm64_model_host. Both current and predecessor source contain that call. Published foundation development PASS and Claude Opus PASS remain historical evidence. Required irzhywau review is already requested and remains pending.
Installed evidence. Exact candidate 202b460d/tree 290688fce61b60df7855e051aaed4e693a3d053c passes the release build, receipt-bound source installation and four fresh Home journeys. One exclusive build lease covered the 794.68-second batch: Runtime build 194.76 seconds, source setup 265.79 seconds, preparation 0.51 seconds, Home-repeat 330.79 seconds, summary 0.19 seconds. The source Home uses verified licensed engine/Kubo prerequisites, fixed pinned weights and a disposable in-memory fixture signing key. Each Home owns separate mutable state and engine processes; OS file cache can warm.
The normal passkey/Marketplace Get/Assistant picker/Send journey passes three times, with retained native completion and visible 16-token replies at desktop and phone width. Run times are 85.52 / 87.62 / 84.75 seconds; terminal Applied timings 16.730 /16.912 /15.157 seconds; actual generation 276 /269 /257ms. A separate physically engine-absent Home passes signed Get, fixed source_engine_required, Retry, retained admission and usable Assistant in 63.63 seconds. Engine files remain absent afterward and observed llama-server count is zero. All seven summary results and 3/3 timing spread pass. Every launch and final owned Runtime/provider/guard/engine/other count is zero. Independent inspection passes all 18 exact-candidate PNGs and receipt/artifact/timing bindings. Minimum recorded free disk is 14.75%.

All four completed test Homes and four redundant evidence weight copies were removed after independent media/receipt, current process and open-file checks. At least 2,750,940,618 Home file bytes plus 579,244,288 weight bytes were counted and reclaimed. Safe JSON/PNG and the stable source template retain bounded private lifecycle ownership. Current hygiene review passes clean 3495ddf4, consistent branch/worktree inventory and zero owned test processes; free disk at final handoff is 15.35%. Final branch/worktree inventory confirms clean current head, 0/0 tracking divergence, no retained review checkout and zero remaining Runtime processes among the 24 PIDs logged by both compiled gates.
The failed foundation CI at 064c5729 completed with three failed source-Home jobs and seven other jobs passed. Its installed reproduction exposed an early empty DOM read after native completion, now fixed by the completed-presentation wait. Hosted Mac worker oversubscription motivated the validated available-CPU cap. Saved Runtime profiles, GPU policy, confinement, cancellation and 120-second run deadline retain their values. Local 202b460d proves the correction on Mac; fresh 3495ddf4 CI proves the integrated candidate on each hosted platform. Prior failed CI added 650 seconds Mac, 101 Linux x86 and 99 Linux ARM; successful final CI time remains required.
Hosted CI 37812288984 installed-model artifacts now pass independent receipt and media review on ARM, Linux x86 and Mac. The actual tested PR merge commit is e39193b48ae79bcc7bae5c65f1dead332378bbea, parents d430a133 and 3495ddf4; its tree is exactly published 07fa63c9. Immutable artifact ZIP digests and safe member scans pass. All seven platform summary results pass. ARM and x86 each produce one real 16-token-cap reply; Mac produces three, with engine-ready 28.643/37.930/42.761 seconds and generation 9.193/10.110/12.045 seconds. All three separate engine-absent Homes pass signed Get, fixed source prerequisite cause, Retry and usable Home, preserving engine absence and zero llama processes. All eight Homes finish with zero owned processes. Independent inspection accepts the reply, readiness and refusal images; one early Mac run-2 desktop capture shows a partly populated dock, while later same-run media shows the full usable dock. Core summary times are ARM 115.46 seconds, x86 148.72 seconds and Mac 525.05 seconds. These fixtures prove the preinstalled source-engine prerequisite; signed-release on-demand acquisition keeps its separate scope. Native package compatibility and full signed Mac update receipts are separate from these uploads. Installed byte bindings: source-home-journeys-macos-14: Runtime 2a7f6ed74ba8370687f58d03a4f3bee06ea7c92686c9b0e6cb38a62724f45378, model provider 1e299998c49543ed797101e4f5cf92d01f33f002a396d6f83e3ce31c13b45a42; source-home-journeys-ubuntu-22.04-arm: Runtime db77600b49756c188b82a4aa5aa977c25bae74124f7f7c4b8cd84bf0d59a5fe9, model provider 1accb4cbb031774229d7520c9ce3f6d64f263cba4ea94f1c302f8e4e7048d1bc; source-home-journeys-ubuntu-24.04: Runtime 8b6dba63a7dfc530f86b72a0e3d330851be6d21b5b04698a804367a922ade8af, model provider dce2ad6ce082d2dea409b833e519e920e1643ce78c42f2734f857b69a76aa81c.
Final CI update and measured cost. CI 37812288984 completes successfully at published head 3495ddf4. All nine protected check contexts and the additional ARM engine check pass; release publication is skipped. CI wall time is 81m21s; the ten successful job durations sum to 203m58s. The Mac source-Home job takes 74m18s, including source setup 41m53s, the existing two Runtime builds 16m02s and signed update/refusal/Undo 5m38s. The measured new model-proof steps are Mac 543 seconds, ARM 146 seconds and x86 177 seconds; fixture preparation/journey/summary alone are 542/121/153 seconds. Mac browser preparation already existed. Source-engine preparation is included in source setup; a paired full-job comparison remains unmeasured. PR #153 now states these measured successful costs.
Independent final Mac update admission passes artifact 11570196642, ZIP SHA-256 3706f10c25b2917b8f17ddc4561cf4c0ad07b370e3687ed8160ecb1ba90447e6, check result a5a12cbcca6882f72c2d25fc57838ded5a74e0b8c40877408dcbab999e095c30 and manifest 90fa73320f2b127db2832ae6cf19ac9c733008cf3deec6ec9cba4278f7c6ea7c. Seventeen checks and seven System images pass: pinned published alpha.8 installs alpha.9, applies alpha.10, refuses tampering and plain downgrade, preserves account/theme/revision/data and returns to alpha.8 through explicit Undo. Carrier bootstrap closes, HTTP fallback is zero, added provider warnings are zero and final owned processes are empty. Actual compiled source is tested merge e39193b4, tree 07fa63c9; new/next Runtime hashes are db0c41bd2a666b7a7605f5b431b579cb88149870ebb6bb07cd868ad9c2022248 / 895f9e5411e1aaefdfc9a9d5df40b4709f8bc10f14fcf623478317e1df52a392. System media shows offers, completed versions and a clear tamper cause/retry. A brief reconnect resolves in later same-window media. Undo is proven by its receipt; the artifact contains seven System images and has no separate Undo image. Final independent admission covers 41 PNGs across model and update artifacts.
Remaining gate. The first four Done means pass for current hosted source-Home CI. The fifth remains partial: installed engine-absent source Homes prove usable Home, source_engine_required and Retry. Current compiled tests prove default Home profile and signed acquisition/unsupported-host rules. The signed Runtime update artifact proves its own install/update/Undo journey; it does not exercise Marketplace model Get/Use or on-demand llama acquisition. A fresh signed-release Home must begin with the engine absent, acquire and verify the pinned engine and libraries through ordinary Get/Use, then show a real Assistant reply. Keep that installed proof open. The existing irzhywau request remains; formal reviews are empty and his approval must cover final head 3495ddf4. Resolve findings, recheck current-base compatibility and merge normally into develop only when all acceptance and review gates pass. Close #150 after its full Done means and PR merge pass.
Next owner. #84's next Local AI task is #97 for actual Jetson hardware acceptance. Broader resource lifecycle remains #98; first catalogue trust #102, separate-holder network #103, response quality #104, public model publication #105 and full signed Mac update acceptance #259 keep their existing ownership. The short fixture reply proves execution and display. Source CI engine prerequisite proof remains distinct from installed signed-release on-demand engine acquisition. Browser product media and production signing/deployment retain their own acceptance and approval gates.

Issue #150 is in progress on a task branch based on fetched develop 938a592. The first installed CI proof will use one explicit combined candidate: normal merges of #97 / PR #133 at 26de9c5 and #98 / PR #136 at 1ab6ead, followed by a separate CI journey commit. GitHub Linux x86-64 and ARM64 will supply a visible 4 GiB cgroup v2 scope for the installed lifecycle; all three install jobs will admit a pinned SmolLM2 fixture package, get a reply through installed Runtime, and save signed Home desktop/phone screenshots. The four basic source gates passed for the CI implementation. CI proof and independent plus Irzhy review remain open; #97 and #98 keep their acceptance gates. The next lane issue is #98 after this CI proof.
andersalm commentedon Sep 30, 2026
The task branch now contains exact #97 candidate 26de9c5 and #98 candidate 1ab6ead through normal merges. The dependency refs still matched at fetch, and both merges completed cleanly. The CI harness uses the installed Runtime receipt, the canonical Assistant input contract and production Content method bindings. ARM reuses the pinned engine bundle installed by the existing Carrier setup fixture. All four basic source gates, script syntax checks and the existing pinned-proof output verifier self-test passed. Independent review of the CI change is next; the draft PR and installed CI proof remain pending.

Draft PR #152 now carries combined candidate 01a041a on origin/feat/0.7.2-ci-installed-journeys, targeting develop. Local and remote task refs match (0/0). The accepted LA-04 fixture now has an isolated 1 GiB refusal check for exact model_memory_unavailable with zero descendants, followed by its full 4 GiB lifecycle. Both artifacts include the complete visible cgroup ancestry through the global memory-controller root. The four basic gates and narrow source checks pass; GitHub CI will supply the installed Linux x86-64, ARM64 and Mac evidence. Independent agent review is in progress and Irzhy review remains required. Added time is an estimate in the draft and will be measured from the completed run. #97/#98 acceptance remains open.
andersalm commentedon Sep 30, 2026
Independent agent source review passed the new CI/harness surface and low-memory fixture at 01a041a. This review keeps the separate #97/#98 production reviews and installed acceptance gates open. A light preflight also passed: production Kubo imported the pinned fixture package and served its model object manifest; the isolated preflight data was removed. The first CI run remains the installed proof for Runtime admission, opaque-frame calls, local reply and Home screenshots. PR #152 stays draft until that evidence and the required review pass.
andersalm commentedon Sep 30, 2026
PR #152 correction candidate 136f66d uses a numeric loopback bind address for the installed gateway, as the production server requires, while the browser uses localhost for passkeys. Its always-run summary also records failed or unfinished journeys when installation stops early. The correction passed script syntax and diff checks. The first installed CI run now uses this corrected candidate; previous source review at 01a041a still covers the rest of the new CI surface. The source-only review and Kubo preflight remain distinct from installed acceptance.

Independent source review round 2 passes the final nine-line harness correction at
136f66da14a6a60b5fa94ddcb2895e3f3ed2d35f(PR #152): Runtime receives a numeric loopback SocketAddr, while the browser uses localhost for WebAuthn; the summary now records failed/not-run journeys when installation is incomplete and sums recorded durations. This extends round 1's acceptance of the new CI harness and low-memory fixture at
01a041a2. Installed proof remains separate and pending in CI 36788032458.The combined #97/#98 production dependencies retain their own acceptance and review gates. Next: read the completed installed results and measured time, fix a product cause or escalate any repeated failure, then request Irzhy's CI review when ready.

Draft PR #152 candidate
136f66da14a6a60b5fa94ddcb2895e3f3ed2d35fpasses source gate, lint, Runtime tests, capsule tests and custody in CI 36788032458.The three installed journey jobs remain in progress; their results and measured time cost are pending. This is source CI evidence, with installed acceptance still open.
The candidate contains exact #97
26de9c52and #981ab6eadftask code. Their separate Done means and required human reviews retain ownership.Independent source review completed its two rounds at this candidate. The next result is installed proof with candidate/runtime hashes and measured job durations, then Irzhy's required CI review when ready.
While that run builds and tests on GitHub, #141 / PR #142 uses the single Mac build slot for its missing exact installed Runtime artifact and visible Home proof.
andersalm commentedon Sep 30, 2026
Bounded source assessment: the four current #150 results need #97 ARM64 support and the installed Home/package/reply harness. The ordinary Runtime reply path already exists at #97 candidate 26de9c5: Content admission publishes the local offer, and the provider starts the pinned engine and returns typed text; #98 adds resource admission, account lease, queue and idle lifecycle controls.
The smallest 0.7.2 source scope is current develop plus #97 and the accepted #150 package, signed Home screenshot, reply and summary code. Keep the LA-04 workflow step, lifecycle runner and low-memory fixture with #98 for the stated 0.7.3 follow-up.
Scope needs one decision: #150 defers LA-04/#98 to 0.7.3, while #98 and PR #136 still target milestone 0.7.2.
Combined candidate 136f66d / draft PR #152 and its first CI run remain evidence. The code, branch and running CI retain that candidate; implementation and milestone alignment await the scope decision.

The narrower 0.7.2 candidate follows this issue's four Done means, keeps #97 ARM support, and leaves deferred LA-04 scope with #98. PR #152 and its first proof history stay intact.

Cancellation was requested for obsolete combined CI 36788032458 after core PR #153 was published.
The final pre-cancel snapshot records five successful source/test jobs, the completed ARM Python digest failure, and a completed x86-64 source-Home failure whose cause still needs assessment.
The Mac source-Home job was unfinished at cancellation request. These results establish neither installed journey acceptance nor measured core CI time.
The completed ARM failure log remains private; PR #152 and its branch remain intact. Exact core CI #36794133540 owns the next installed proof.

The completed Linux x86-64 job in CI 36788032458 failed preparation because the package helper launched source Home's absent
bin/kubo(ENOENT).The retained Carrier fixture owns its separately installed external tools. The helper must use the verified component path and receipt instead of assuming that source Home installs Kubo.

Box 5 (signed-release engine-absent Get → engine → reply) is proven on alpha.11's real installs, not before merge. Static check: the alpha.3 seed answers bounded model-piece reads offline (no seed upgrade needed).
Merge pull request #306 from Elacity/train/alpha11

CI proof (PR #306, merged 5387f74): installed Marketplace Get + Assistant reply passed on Mac, Linux x86-64 and ARM64; on x86-64 the model came only from a separate holder Home over Carrier (carrier_get passed); engine-absent refusal, disk reserve and process cleanup passed on all three. Remaining: box 5 on the published alpha.11 real installs.

Real install, alpha.11, Linux x86-64 (9 Oct): fresh install → Marketplace → Get (engine on first use + 145 MB model from the seed over Carrier) → Assistant reply: PASSED. Get took 535 s (one 64 KiB request per piece, ~2,210 round trips); reply 1.1 s; Runtime peak 534 MiB. Box 5 proven on Linux. Next: parallel piece reads for speed.

alpha.12 real runs (9 Oct): Jetson fresh install: Get → Assistant reply passed (one 'Model content could not be read' stop at 136 s, Retry completed 145 MB in ~250 s; per-part retry fix in progress); Jetson after Home restart: signed in, model still ready, reply 4.3 s. Linux update 11→12 with the model: model still ready, no Get, reply 7.1 s. Minor: after shrinking to phone width with a long chat history the newest reply was out of view (reply_bounds check).
