You may have noticed that recent releases contain archives with executable binaries!
We've also started publishing to Homebrew and winget.

Reacted by Tugrul Ates, kapitanluffy and Lyon Till@RyanHecht noticed that Homebrew cask is pushing every release of Copilot CLI (including the pre-release ones) which isn't ideal. Not 100% sure, but assume that the missing part is something like

Describe the bug
Today, installing GitHub Copilot CLI requires the user to install and manage NodeJS versions, which isn't a great experience for inexperienced users.
Expected behavior
One idea is that perhaps
copilotcould be distributed as a single executable binary, which essentially distributes NodeJS along with the application logic and dependencies. If successful, it would lower the barrier to usingcopilotand allow use of release assets.
