In the .ruby-version it's specified to use 2.0.0, and on .gemspec the minimum version is 1.9.3. Is this intended?

    Yes, see #18 and the related discussions. 2.0.0 is the prefered Ruby environment, but the Gem supports 1.9.3 for backwards compatibility.
