Demos on your website have issues with latest browser versions
So, with previous Firefox browser version the demos on your homepage worked perfectly. After updating to the latest Firefox version, the advanced demo does not work anymore. You cannot add item to the grid (Drag me into the dashboard) nor can you remove an item from the grid (Drop here to remove from dashboard).
There might be other issues but these are the ones I observed.
Initial Firefox version (working demo): 147.0.1 (64-bit)
Latest version (NOT WORKING DEMO) : 147.0.4 (64-bit)
The same thing applies with Chrome. As it is automatically updated I do not know a version number when it worked ok, but right now, with Chrome version 144.0.7559.133 (Official Build) (64-bit) it behaves the same (not working). Also after updating Chrome again, to version 144.0.7559.133 (Official Build) (64-bit), same behavior
oh, thanks to Claude found this, so good thing you said exactly when it broke vs ok. Still working fine now (mac laptop) so curious
Root Cause Analysis
What's happening
The isTouch flag in src/dd-touch.ts:14-23 is evaluating to true on desktop browsers due to navigator.maxTouchPoints > 0:
export const isTouch: boolean = ...
|| navigator.maxTouchPoints > 0 // <-- the culprit
Firefox 147.0.4 changed navigator.maxTouchPoints on macOS from 0 to 5 to expose the trackpad's multi-touch capabilities (matching Safari behavior). Chrome has had a similar change for some time. This makes isTouch = true on desktop machines with no actual touchscreen, which activates the touch/pointer event handling code paths.

Claude suggestion broke nested.html grid item dragging so will need to revert part of it (isTouch check seems ok)
better isTouch fix for trackpads fix
