Action Resume follow-ups currently copy a raw interactive terminal transcript, so agents receive shell prompts, command echoes, and terminal control traffic alongside the useful command output. Threads also have no in-chat indication that an Action is still running after the originating turn settles.
This change bounds Action output with invisible run-specific terminal markers and sends only the combined stdout/stderr produced inside that boundary. ANSI sequences are preserved verbatim. It also adds an animated
Waiting for <duration>timeline row that reuses the existing Working indicator's ellipsis and self-ticking timer.Focused coverage verifies split markers, prompt/command exclusion, ANSI preservation, restart recovery, and Working-over-Waiting precedence. An isolated prompted Codex QA run showed the Waiting timer, then delivered exactly one clean automated follow-up containing both output streams and no terminal chrome.
