Hi there, I'm Luboš 👋

I'm a DevOps/Cloud/Infrastructure Engineer with more than a decade of experience in IT. I build and operate reliable platforms, automate repetitive work, and make infrastructure easier to manage.

⚙️ How I work

I like removing repetitive work wherever I find it. Sometimes that means a small Bash or Python script, sometimes laptop provisioning or infrastructure as code. I also build CI/CD pipelines that make delivery predictable and repeatable.

I believe we need to measure systems to understand whether they work. Monitoring and observability are part of how I design, operate, and improve infrastructure.

On-call rotations and production incidents taught me to stay systematic under pressure, follow the evidence, and look for the root cause. I enjoy understanding how Kubernetes, networking, security, cloud infrastructure, and delivery fit together, and making those systems easier for people to use.

🛠️ Tools I use

  • Infrastructure as code: Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible
  • GitOps: ArgoCD, Flux2
  • Cloud: GCP, Azure
  • Containers and orchestration: Kubernetes, Docker
  • Scripts and automation: Bash, Python
  • Monitoring: Datadog, Grafana

🏍️ Outside work

I run a homelab with physical servers and a Kubernetes cluster hosting services I use every day. It is where I experiment, break things safely, and learn how tools behave outside tutorials. Away from the screen, I enjoy cycling, riding and servicing motorcycles, sewing medieval costumes, and saunas. I also design and 3D-print motorcycle parts and build small projects with ESP32 boards and sensors.

📬 Get in touch

I am open to short-term and long-term opportunities. Most of my professional work lives in private repositories, but I occasionally contribute to open-source projects too.

Have an infrastructure problem or an interesting idea? Send me a message.
