Sync plugin catalogs and live-demo claims #39

Open

Description

@mcclowes

The docs site covers 13 plugins, but the README omits Embeds, MCP, Open with LLM, and Share selection, and the homepage omits Share selection. The README, introduction, homepage, and announcement also claim every documented plugin runs on the site, while Embeds, Marginalia, Open with LLM, Speccy, and Starter are not registered in the current Docusaurus config.

Update the catalogs to cover all documented plugins, describe live-demo coverage accurately, and align the repository guidance with those facts. Preserve the independent plugin repositories and the current installed dependencies.

Acceptance: all catalog links resolve to existing docs or the existing external Speccy guide; the README, intro, homepage, announcement, and contributor guidance agree about demo coverage; formatting, type checks, and the production build pass, with any pre-existing failures reported.

    Fixed locally in 9cb1888 on the existing main checkout. The README now lists Embeds, MCP, Open with LLM, and Share selection, and the homepage includes Share selection. The README, introduction, homepage, announcement, and contributor guidance now distinguish the current live demos from plugins documented without being registered here.

    Verification:

    • The README, homepage source, and introduction each contain all 12 local plugin sections plus the external Speccy guide, with no duplicate catalog entries.
    • The production build passed. Parsed the rendered homepage and introduction tables and confirmed all 13 entries and every local destination in the generated build.
    • Confirmed the four new package links against npm registry metadata, and confirmed the existing Speccy guide through the GitHub contents API.
    • Prettier passed for all changed files; git diff --check passed.
    • The existing TypeScript 6 config failure was reproduced, then fixed separately under Restore typecheck with the installed TypeScript 6 compiler #40. The normal npm run typecheck now passes without deprecation suppression.

    No dependencies were changed. This commit is unpushed and undeployed, so the issue remains open.
