My dissertation explores behavioral drivers of pathogen exposure in wildlife. I'm developing frameworks that integrate GPS telemetry, accelerometry, and spatial modeling to understand when and where transmission happens.
Current study systems:
- Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) in white-tailed deer, Wisconsin
- Nipah virus dynamics at the bat-human interface in Bangladesh
Research areas: Spatial epidemiology • Movement ecology • Environmental persistence • One Health surveillance
This GitHub hosts analysis code and reproducible workflows from my dissertation and field projects. Most repos are works in progress. I will upload the code once published.
This includes my dissertation projects and other collaborative works.
nipah-sap-collection-study-2025
Field study on date palm sap collection practices and Nipah virus spillover risk in Bangladesh
Spatial analysis: Working with sf, terra, arcgisbinding for wildlife movement data
Biotelemetry: GPS telemetry and accelerometer processing for behavioral classification
Statistics: Applying lme4, brms, and hierarchical modeling to field data
Reproducibility: Version control with Git, literate programming with Quarto
