[Bug]: iOS composer taps meant for text input open the model selector #24303

Before submitting

  • I searched existing issues and did not find a duplicate.
  • I included enough detail to reproduce or investigate the problem.

Area

apps/mobile

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open a thread in the T3 Code iOS app in portrait orientation.
  2. Tap the composer text-entry area to start typing or to use iOS keyboard dictation.
  3. Observe which control receives the tap. In the reported layout, taps intended for the input frequently open the adjacent provider/model selector instead.

Expected behavior

Tapping the text-entry area should reliably focus the input and allow typing or iOS keyboard dictation. The provider/model selector should open only when its own control is tapped, with enough separation and a clear touch target between the controls.

Actual behavior

The input and provider/model selector are crowded together in the composer. When trying to focus the input for typing or voice dictation, it is easy to hit the model selector instead. This repeatedly interrupts message entry and makes the iOS composer frustrating to use.

Impact

Major degradation or frequent failure

Version or commit

Unknown

Environment

iOS app; device model and iOS version not provided.

Logs or stack traces

None.

Tested current main 3de45c6254 on an iPhone 17 Pro simulator in portrait (402 × 874), with an isolated server. In a new thread and an existing thread, tapping the empty input focused it and opened the keyboard; short and multiline drafts accepted text. Tapping the model control opened Thread settings. I did not reproduce input taps opening that selector.

Please provide the app version/build, iPhone model and iOS version, plus a short screen recording identifying where you tap when this happens. Does it occur with an empty input, after text has wrapped, or both?
