[Bug]: Usage meter refreshes much slower than Claude Code's (separate from the 5h drain issue) #28852

Steps to reproduce

Sign in to T3 Code with a Claude Pro account.
Open the Claude Code app in a terminal on the same account and run /usage.
Run a few turns of normal work in T3 Code.
Compare T3's meter with Claude Code's /usage after each turn.

Expected behavior

T3's meter updates about as fast as Claude Code's own usage display, so it stays current while work is running.

Actual behavior

T3's meter updates roughly 2x slower than Claude Code's and falls behind during active work. Claude Code shows a higher number before T3 catches up.

Note: this is about how fast the meter refreshes, not the higher 5-hour drain in the tracking issue. It may only show on Pro accounts, where the limit is close enough to watch.
