Model: Claude Opus 5.5. Rebased onto current main with Claude Opus 5.5 on 2026-10-12.

Problem

Usage tells you which provider and model spent the money, but not which project, thread or environment it went to, or which account paid for it. When several projects, sub-agents, accounts and machines are involved, that's the question people actually have. Today there is no way to answer it from the Usage page.

Change

The Cost and Tokens views of Usage are rebuilt around one Group by switch: Projects, Providers, Models, Environments (when more than one is selected), and Threads (inside a focused project). The switch drives a stacked chart and the breakdown below it.

  • The list is the chart's legend. Each row's colour square hides or shows its series, and the long tail stacks as Other in both the chart and the list. Colours stay with an item when filters change the ranking.
  • Rows open in place. A project lists its threads. A thread lists its main conversation and the sub-agents and delegated threads it started. A provider lists its accounts and models, a model lists its projects, and an environment lists its projects. Focus → (or the right-click menu) narrows the whole page to one row, and ← All projects plus the filter chips undo it.
  • Threads view. A focused project's threads come with provider and model filters. Each thread row shows its family total, an "N sub-agents" tag, and a cache-heavy tag when at least half of its own cost went to writing the prompt cache.
  • Providers and accounts. The provider list beside the total is a multi-select over providers and accounts (hover for "only this"). Several accounts collapse under their provider.
  • Model detail. A model's name, or Details on hover, opens Theo's model dialog (trend, cost per 1M tokens, cache hit rate, type and speed mix, Set price). The row's own click expands it, like every other row.
  • Right-click on any row: focus, filter to or exclude a provider or account, favourite a project, hide from or show only on the chart, open the thread, go to its parent, model details, set a price for an unpriced model, and copy the name or thread ID.
  • Search, columns and export. / searches projects, threads and models from any view, opening the rows that lead to a match. Columns picks from Cost, Share, Tokens, Input, Output, Cache reads, Cache writes, Cache write cost, Cached % and Change, and downloads the list as CSV.
  • Time. Pick exact days from the range shown in the header (beside the environment menu, or beside the selects on narrow windows), drag across the chart to zoom, and switch to Running total. The week view now reads hourly, so it charts six-hour intervals.
  • Totals and Cost by type are one section. The Totals row and the Cost by type legend described the same token types twice. Now the bar spans the width and each type gets a column with its cost, share and tokens, plus the facts that belong to it: the cache hit rate and Saved amount on Cache read, and reasoning on Output. Processed tokens and the per-active-day average sit in its header. Every figure from both sections is still there once, and they follow the page's filters. The Tokens view shows the same section with tokens first. Cost by speed stays below it when Fast or Ultrafast was used.

Limits, model prices, the model dialog, the environment menu, Cursor's Keychain prompt and the keyboard shortcuts are unchanged. The Day breakdown table and the per-provider session counts are gone; the chart's hover readout covers the first.

Server. server.getUsageSummary takes an optional groupByThread. With it, buckets carry instanceId and a thread index, and the summary lists threads (each with a stable key, its T3 thread, project and parent) and their projects. Without it the summary keeps its current shape, so older clients see no change. Attribution reads the V2 read model through a new UsageAttribution service:

  • A Claude, Codex, OpenCode or Grok session maps to its T3 thread through the provider thread's nativeThreadRef.
  • A Claude native sub-agent maps through the subagent's nativeTaskRef, and thread lineage gives the nesting.
  • Sessions run outside T3 are placed in the project whose folder they ran in. The deepest root wins and live projects beat deleted ones. A session in no project's folder shows as Outside projects.
  • Cursor, Antigravity, and OpenCode or Grok sessions run outside T3 have no folder to go on and show as Unknown folder. Opening it lists usage that no thread holds as Not in a thread, so the rows add up.
  • The account comes from the T3 provider thread, or from the only instance that reads that transcript directory.

To support this, each session's working directory is read through a new optional workingDirectory hook on provider-core's TranscriptUsageFormat, which the Claude, Codex and Pi formats implement (Pi from its session header), and the scan cache moves to v6. v5 and v4 caches still load, so saved usage of deleted transcripts is kept, and live Claude and Codex transcripts re-parse once. Hourly reads may now span up to 14 days.

Several environments. Account, project and thread keys carry their environment, so equal ids or names on two servers stay apart; projects with the same name gain their environment's name. Servers on one machine all report its hostname, so when two selected environments share a name, Usage adds each one's host (AUS-M5P-AS · 127.0.0.1:16590). When environments read the same history folder, its usage counts once, as before. It now goes to a server that splits usage by thread ahead of one that can't, then to the environment that ran most of that folder's work in its own T3 threads, then to the newest scan. Attribution only decides among scans read within ten minutes of the newest, so a summary kept after a failed refresh can't hold the folder. Before, the newest scan always won, so an older server reading the same folder could take it and drop every thread and project. Ownership is decided before a merge is narrowed to one model, so the model dialog matches the page. Deselecting an environment in the menu clears any focus on it.

Offline environments. Before, an environment that was offline showed Scanning… forever, and after a reload its usage vanished from the totals. The browser now keeps each environment's last few usage reads (IndexedDB, up to four windows). While an environment is offline, Usage shows its usage from the read that best covers the range, cut to that range. That read must be at the range's resolution, and an hourly read on the same hour grid. The environment is marked Offline · as of in the environment menu, in a page notice and on its Environments row. One this browser never read shows as offline with no usage, not as scanning. It switches back to live usage on reconnect, and removing an environment forgets its saved usage. With the usage permission from #9790, a connected environment without it shows that permission message as before; while offline, saved usage is hidden only if the environment's cached session lacks the permission. Each history folder is counted from one place: live reads that succeeded first, then the newest saved read, so saved usage never double counts with live usage or with other saved reads.

Works with the latest Usage changes on main. Progressive loading (#17147) and the provider filter (#16970) carry over. While a new period loads, the previous one stays on screen and the explorer mutes its totals, chart, by-type section and list until fresh figures arrive; a provider row mutes while that provider refreshes. Cursor's cached-then-fresh follow-up keeps groupByThread. Hidden providers leave the page before saved offline usage is counted.

Mixed versions. A server from before this change rejects hourly reads over a day with invalidWindow. Only that rejection triggers the fallback; any other failure still shows as an error. When it happens, the page reads every environment by day for that range, so totals, the label and the comparison window cover the same whole days. It goes back to hours as soon as no environment that needed days is selected. Mobile keeps its current Usage screen and doesn't request the new fields.

This also covers what #9014 (zoom and custom dates) proposes, and the project breakdown from #9015.

Ported onto main's provider-core transcript readers (2026-10-12). Main moved the transcript parsers into per-driver readers behind provider-core's format interface (#17576 to #17579) and deleted usageTranscripts.ts. This branch is now one squashed commit on current main. Instead of changing the old parsers, the folder comes from the workingDirectory hook above: the shared engine reads lines that name the folder until one does (also from records too large to parse whole), and keeps that first answer. Pi gains a folder too, so Pi sessions run outside T3 land in their project; they are not matched to T3 threads, since Pi's native ref is a file path. v5 caches still load; live transcripts of formats that name a folder re-parse once. Thread and project attribution are otherwise unchanged.

Scope and approval

Proposed in Ideas discussion #16722, which asks for maintainer approval of the direction and scope; there is no approval yet. The closest earlier attempt, #9015, was closed for missing approval. This PR is one view of usage by project, thread, account and environment, opened as one PR at the developer's request. The discussion lists a four-part split if you'd rather take it in pieces; say which and I'll follow it.

Verification

All on a synthetic dataset: 35 days of generated Claude Code and Codex transcripts for six fake projects, with native sub-agents, delegated child threads and sessions run from a terminal. The matching T3 projects and threads were seeded into an isolated dev server's database. The web client ran in headless Chrome. The desktop (Electron) shell and mobile were not exercised. Mobile code is unchanged. Mobile shares the merge, but it doesn't request threads, so its folder ownership still follows the newest scan as before.

Before and after (30 days, same data, dark theme). The totals match exactly: $577.12 overall, Codex $124.50, Claude Code $452.62. Splitting buckets by thread and account doesn't change any total.

Before: upstream main shows provider totals, a daily line per provider and a model table. After: the same totals with a stacked chart by project, a Group by switch, and an expandable project list

Opening and focusing. Open a project to see its threads, open a thread to see its main conversation and sub-agents, then focus the project to get the Threads view and its filters, and go back. Recorded in real time, 1280×860 viewport, cropped to the page.

Expanding the orbit project lists its threads; expanding a thread shows Main conversation and its sub-agents; Focus switches to Threads in orbit with provider and model filters; All projects returns

(MP4)

Group by, hiding a series, and the provider filter. Switch to Providers and Models and back, hide a project from the chart with its colour square (the total becomes Visible total), then leave Codex out and bring it back.

Group by switches the chart and list between providers, models and projects; clicking orbit's colour square hides it from the chart; clicking Codex in the provider list excludes it and clicking again restores it

(MP4)

Week view, hover and zoom. Six-hour intervals, the hover readout with a dot per band, a drag-to-zoom into two days (re-read hourly), then Reset zoom.

The 7 day chart with a hover readout listing projects for one six-hour interval; dragging across part of the chart zooms to Oct 2 to Oct 4; Reset zoom returns to the week

(MP4)

Several environments, live. One web client paired with three servers on one Mac, all reporting the hostname AUS-M5P-AS:

  • A: this branch, with the six-project dataset.
  • B: this branch, with a second dataset of three projects, one of them also called orbit, and the same Claude and Codex account ids as A.
  • C: upstream main from before this change, reading A's history folder.

Group by Environments, open B to its projects, Focus on it, and go back:

Environments lists AUS-M5P-AS · localhost:8450 at $551.91 and AUS-M5P-AS · 127.0.0.1:16590 at $409.22; opening the second lists ml-lab, orbit and infra; Focus narrows the page to $409.22 with an Environment chip; All environments returns

(MP4)

  • Totals add up. 30 days: $961.13 = A $551.91 + B $409.22. C adds nothing, because A's copy of the shared folder is counted once. The two Claude accounts are listed apart ($436.34 and $325.96), as are the two orbit projects.
  • Older server and shared folder. Before the ownership change, C took A's folder and all of A's usage showed as Unknown folder ($551.91). Now A keeps it, with every project and thread.
  • Mixed versions. With C selected, 7 days reads whole days (7 intervals, $188.95). Deselect C and it reads hourly again (25 six-hour intervals, $188.95). Reselect C and it goes back to days.
  • Focus and the environment menu. Focusing B, then its orbit, shows B's threads with B's filters. Deselecting B in the menu clears that focus and shows A ($551.91); reselecting B restores $961.13 with no stale focus.
  • Names. The environment menu, the Environments rows and account names show AUS-M5P-AS · <host>. The duplicate React keys that same-named environments caused on the Limits tab are gone.

The environment menu listing three AUS-M5P-AS environments told apart by host, the shared-folder note, and the 7-day Environments breakdown

Offline environments, live. B and C were each read once, then stopped; C reads A's history folder. Before, after a reload, B's $409.22 was gone and the menu said B and C were still scanning:

Before: the total is $551.91, B's usage is missing, and the environment menu shows a still-scanning icon

After, B's saved usage is back in the total ($961.13), marked with when it was read. C's saved copy of A's folder yields to A's live read, so C adds nothing and the total is not doubled. Before C had ever been read, it showed as offline with no saved usage for the range, not as scanning. Restarting B switched it back to live without a reload.

After: notices say B and C are offline and shown as of 11:34 and 11:44 AM, the total is $961.13, and B's Environments row is tagged Offline · as of Oct 7, 11:34 AM

The environment menu: B and C are Offline · as of their last read, A is Ready

More states: totals by type, threads in a project, light theme, narrow window

Light theme:

760px window: the provider list, chart and tiles stack, with no sideways scrolling:

The usage page at 760px wide

Other manual checks (headless Chrome against the dev server):

  • Focus survives zoom. A focused project and the selected accounts stay in place through a drag-zoom; the page used to reset them while the new range loaded.
  • Older servers. Covered with a real older server in the environments section above. Earlier, with a dev server temporarily capped at 24-hour hourly reads, a refresh a minute later still read by day.
  • Search for "review" opened the projects holding matching threads and sub-agents.
  • Columns toggled columns, and Download as CSV downloaded every row.
  • No browser console errors in any run.

Focused tests. All of these pass:

Package Command Result
apps/server vp test run src/usage 154 passed
packages/shared vp run test -- src/usageMerge.test.ts 1157 passed
apps/web vp test run src/components/usage src/state/usage.test.tsx src/state/savedUsage.test.ts 114 passed

Typecheck is clean for contracts, server, shared and web, and so is vp lint on the touched files. Knip reports nothing new in the touched files.

New tests cover:

  • Server:

    • grouping by account, project and thread, including sub-agent labels from Claude's metadata and sessions outside the window adding no threads (UsageService.test.ts)
    • thread lineage, native sub-agents, nested project roots, deleted projects and lineage loops (usageThreadIndex.test.ts)
    • a project rooted at /, and Windows drive and UNC folders in any letter case (usageThreadIndex.test.ts)
    • a Claude session's folder read from a record without usage (usageTranscriptReader.test.ts)
    • a sub-agent description edited while it runs (UsageService.test.ts)
    • v5 cache entries re-parsing (usageScanCache.test.ts)
  • Merge:

    • a shared folder goes to the environment that ran its work in T3 threads, not to a newer scan from an older server or from outside; a newer complete scan never adds cells; a scan kept from a failed refresh can't hold a folder; narrowing to one model keeps the same owners
    • per-environment contributions
    • partial-scan supplements keeping every thread of a new cell
    • daily and hourly scans of one directory compared by day

The last two failed on the earlier code and pass now.

  • Web:

    • stable thread keys across windows
    • families, series and colours, running totals
    • six-hour intervals on the local clock across a DST change
    • the breakdown rows: expand, Other and its paging, search (including models from the Projects and Providers views, and models used only outside threads), Not in a thread, Show fewer
    • windows, the by-day fallback, and falling back only on the window rejection
    • grouping by environment, each opening to its own projects, and focusing one
    • same-named environments told apart by host
    • saved usage: the read that best covers a range, cut to it; hours only on the same hour grid; each history folder counted from one place (live first, then the newest saved read), including folders without bucket paths and failed reads (savedUsage.test.ts)

Review. GPT-6 Astra (via Codex, read-only) reviewed the branch in four rounds and found 15 issues, all fixed:

  • double counting in partial-scan merges
  • thread identity across windows
  • state loss while loading
  • the older-server week view
  • per-environment accounts
  • DST edges
  • deleted projects
  • the comparison with hidden series
  • Other's render cost
  • out-of-window thread metadata
  • refresh after the fallback

Its last round found no remaining defects. Macroscope's review then found 7 more, all fixed in cc615a2:

  • the fallback triggering on any failure
  • the page staying on days after deselecting the old environment
  • usage outside any thread missing from an opened project
  • a project rooted at /
  • no Show fewer on the top-level list
  • no Go to parent thread on nested threads
  • no exact dates on narrow windows

The older-server check above was re-run on that commit. Its second pass found 2 more, fixed in f3963d1: the per-active-day tile counted UTC days, and searching a model name from the Projects or Providers view found nothing.

The environment breakdown and the shared-folder ownership change went through GPT-6 Astra again. Its first round found 5 issues:

  • admitting cells from a newer complete scan could double count when servers alias models differently
  • a partial scan read first could block those cells
  • the model dialog decided ownership after filtering, so its headline and chart could disagree
  • a deselected environment's focus emptied the page
  • an older owner could miss newer usage

The first four are fixed. The last is bounded by the ten-minute rule after its second round showed a failed refresh could otherwise keep a stale owner.

The offline fallback went through five Astra rounds. They found:

  • saved hourly reads on another hour grid
  • saved reads double counting or hiding live usage, through partial coverage, model aliases and buckets without folder paths
  • reads at a different resolution
  • concurrent saves losing windows
  • removal leaving data in memory
  • failed reads erasing good ones
  • older servers' by-day reads going missing
  • repeated writes

All are fixed, and the last round found nothing more. Macroscope's next pass found two more, fixed in 3aa3834 to c6df641: unchecking an account while a project was focused dropped accounts outside it, and Change could compare against an incomplete previous period. One limit stays by design: the Past 24h window's hour grid moves every minute, so a saved 24-hour read rarely fits a later one, and the page says there is no saved usage for that range rather than drawing it on the wrong hours. Macroscope's later convention findings are fixed too: attribution errors name the read that failed, and the page uses the shared Checkbox, icon Button and InlineButton. Its next pass found 5 more. Four are fixed in cd19574: a Claude session's folder on a record without usage, an edited sub-agent description, Windows path case, and searching for a model used only outside threads. The fifth, expanding a project with no threads, is answered on its thread.

📝 Walkthrough

The change adds thread and project attribution to usage summaries and introduces a Usage explorer with selectable time ranges, charts, filters, breakdowns, and exports. Transcript metadata and cache handling support attribution, while usage merging retains environment contributions and avoids overlapping scan data.

Changes: Usage exploration and thread attribution

Layer / File(s) Summary
Usage contracts and transcript metadata
packages/contracts/src/usage.ts, apps/server/src/usage/usageTranscripts.ts, apps/server/src/usage/usageTranscriptReader.ts, apps/server/src/usage/usageScanCache.ts, apps/server/src/usage/UsageService.ts
Usage summaries gain optional thread and project metadata. Transcript readers and scan caches retain working directories and sub-agent labels. Legacy caches can be loaded for reparsing.
Server attribution and grouped aggregation
apps/server/src/usage/UsageAttribution.ts, apps/server/src/usage/usageThreadIndex.ts, apps/server/src/usage/usageAggregation.ts, apps/server/src/usage/UsageService.ts, apps/server/src/server.ts, apps/server/src/usage/UsageService.test.ts, apps/server/src/usage/usageThreadIndex.test.ts
The server maps provider sessions and sub-agents to threads and projects, then emits usage buckets grouped by provider instance and thread. Grouped summaries include thread metadata.
Environment contributions and scan overlap
packages/shared/src/usageMerge.ts, packages/shared/src/usageMerge.test.ts
Merged usage records each contributing environment’s buckets, threads, and projects. Partial scans exclude overlap across thread indexes and daily or hourly resolutions.
Usage ranges and daily fallback
apps/web/src/components/usage/usageWindow.ts, apps/web/src/components/usage/usageWindow.test.ts, apps/web/src/state/usage.ts, apps/web/src/state/usage.test.tsx
Range helpers create time-zone-aware windows and timelines. Usage reads retry qualifying invalid hourly windows at daily resolution and record which environments used the fallback.
Explorer data model and breakdown rows
apps/web/src/components/usage/usageExplorerModel.ts, apps/web/src/components/usage/usageBreakdownRows.ts, apps/web/src/components/usage/usagePagePreferences.ts, apps/web/src/components/usage/usageExplorerModel.test.ts
Explorer utilities transform usage into project, provider, account, model, and thread views. They calculate totals and chart series, build expandable and searchable rows, and persist explorer preferences.
Explorer interface and charts
apps/web/src/components/usage/UsageExplorer.tsx, apps/web/src/components/usage/UsageStackedChart.tsx, apps/web/src/components/usage/UsageProviderChart.tsx
The explorer renders usage totals, charts, filters, drill-downs, breakdown rows, and CSV exports. The stacked chart supports running totals and drag-to-zoom.
Usage page integration and documentation
apps/web/src/components/usage/UsagePage.tsx, apps/web/src/components/usage/UsagePage.refresh.test.tsx, apps/web/src/components/usage/UsagePage.test.tsx, docs/user/usage.md
The page adds date-range controls and passes usage, comparison data, preferences, and provider extras to the explorer. The guide describes the updated controls and attribution labels.

  • observed — The new metadata payload reaches authenticated principals with environment-wide orchestration-read authority. This is not a newly introduced tenant-scoped interface: the same scope already authorizes shell and thread reads. The local cache is an additional persistence destination whose effective filesystem permissions remain unresolved.

Security Findings and Attack Paths

  • observed — The new CSV export passes displayed names through a formatter that prefixes strings beginning with common spreadsheet-formula markers and escapes CSV delimiters. This is concrete counterevidence against a direct formula-injection path; compatibility with every spreadsheet importer was not established.

Trust Boundaries and Controls

  • observed — The usage RPC continues to require orchestration-read scope through authenticated websocket sessions. Comparison with the full PR base showed these authorization paths unchanged; the base already offered project shell snapshots and thread projections to that scope. Exact field-by-field visibility of deleted historical metadata remains unverified.

Resilience and Maintainability Implications

  • observed — Account identity is carried into attribution results, but native-reference lookup keys and session memoization omit the provider instance. Cross-account native-ID collisions therefore remain an unresolved attribution-integrity assumption. The inspected consumers use these results for grouping and navigation; this does not establish an authorization bypass.

Hardening Proposals

  • proposed — Treat persisted sub-agent descriptions as potentially sensitive task text: establish restrictive storage permissions and explicit retention expectations before relying on the cache's privacy properties.

Correction to my UI Consistency review: two inline anchors landed on unrelated lines. The checkbox finding concerns apps/web/src/components/usage/UsageExplorer.tsx:1165 (<input type="checkbox">), not line 1183. The model-name action finding concerns the raw <button> at line 1626, not line 1715. The dismiss-button finding at line 907 is correctly anchored.

Proposed for maintainer approval in Ideas discussion #16722 (direction, scope, and a four-part split if you'd rather take it in pieces). The PR is green and mergeable on the latest commit.

…ment

Squashed from pingdotgg#15902 and ported onto main's provider-core usage readers.
A session's working directory now comes from a new optional
`workingDirectory` hook on `TranscriptUsageFormat`, implemented by the
Claude, Codex and Pi formats; the shared transcript engine reads lines that
name the folder until one does, and the scan cache (v6) keeps it per file.

The breakdown stopped expanding at depth three, so a project reached
through provider, account and model never listed its threads, even when
one matched the search. The dimension chain already ends at threads.

Thank you for this, it would be very useful if it got merged. You might want to tweak the chart colors to make them less cringe tho.

Addressed all six current review findings in d9a135ccfad86e438b0b8dc87b386ffac006979c and merged main 826ef55b749bf2f331d163056ae5301985fa134b without rewriting the branch.

  • The model dialog uses the displayed range’s reference time.
  • Deselecting a focused environment clears shared Outside projects/Unknown folder filters.
  • Same-title projects within one environment include a stable project discriminator.
  • Native session/subagent attribution retains account bindings and resolves the matching instance; unique native bindings retain precedence over directory fallbacks.
  • Codex metadata uses persisted first-session state in buffered, streaming and resumed reads, preventing an ancestor folder from filling a missing child cwd.
  • Saved reads are marked complete only after successful storage; failed database opens and saves remain retryable.

Validation: 144 tests passed in 7 focused files, including account switches, missing child cwd across streaming/resume, cache migration/roundtrip, duplicate project names and storage-open retries. Targeted lint passed with main’s existing unused layerTest warning. Focused typechecking has no diagnostics in changed files; the imported graph still reports an ACP dependency state_update.error mismatch and openPullRequestLink.ts:187 implicit-any diagnostic. No browser/device verification was run.

The cache now writes v7, preserving main’s v6 diagnostics semantics and migrating v4–v6 history without overwriting older cache files. Remaining gates: fresh CI/review and the existing product-direction approval. I have READ access upstream and have not merged this PR.

Fixed the verified follow-up review findings in 850fd700f542ae1a445c7ecbb5e7d0b059ea27df with a guarded normal descendant push. Addressed review comments 4321591360, 4321591376, 4321591377, and 4321591392: selected-account counts say accounts; Other totals and hide controls include favorited chart-tail entries without duplicate row keys; logical top-level Other members keep previous-period comparisons; and Pi/other providers without a native binding retain cwd project attribution. 87 focused usage/model/attribution tests and targeted lint pass. Scoped types report only the existing imported openPullRequestLink implicit-any diagnostic.

Focused tests: 87 passed (87); exit 0. Targeted lint exit 0. Scoped typecheck exit 1. Diagnostics: apps/web/src/lib/openPullRequestLink.ts(187,20): error TS7006: Parameter 'previous' implicitly has an 'any' type.

No browser/device verification was run. Current main was fetched before editing; this retains the prior integration and does not chase subsequent main changes. Fresh current-head CI/review and existing product/native evidence gates remain. Upstream permission is READ; the parent owns watches and merges.

Integrated main d36b7da2485bc889b320a285deea181f637d760a in the normal descendant 198efb94053cff97b7ea6ef7fed880bf2b849dac, retaining the earlier attribution, account, Other-row, folder, and saved-read retry fixes.

The conflict contained two different v7 cache writers: this branch's folder metadata and main's Codex initial-tier provenance. The combined writer uses v8, reads v4-v7 history without replacing those files, and re-reads live folder-aware transcripts from either v7 shape. Main's Codex tier resolver, pending-tier records, concurrent-read corrections, and migration remain intact. The explorer keeps its replacement breakdown and carries main's keyboard-focusable horizontal scrolling treatment.

Validation: 200 tests passed in eight usage/attribution/merge suites; 97 passed in the overlapping cache/service plus saved-read/window/client suites; the final cache suite passed all 20 cases. Two v7 migration regressions fail when the new invalidation is removed. Scoped lint passes (one existing unused layerTest warning); formatting passes for all 37 feature TypeScript files. The focused typecheck retains only the previously recorded openPullRequestLink.ts:187 implicit-any diagnostic. Final cache-test log SHA-256: 595a233a5036a221b097433959beb5ad76ac21e2cf5d460c9746f914f26ef069.

The fork ref and GitHub head were read back. Actual main subsequently advanced to 67c0fc0cdaf963b103518862dd7b68a9c758ecf2 with only the sidebar pin change; its virtual merge is clean and GitHub reports MERGEABLE. Current-head CI/review and the existing product-direction/client evidence gates remain. Upstream access is READ; no upstream merge or browser/device run was performed.

CI follow-up: the current-head Test Server 7 job failed only the Claude background-steer never answers case at 120000 ms. The adapter and test are byte-identical to actual main 67c0fc0cdaf963b103518862dd7b68a9c758ecf2. That exact case passed in an isolated checkout using the same two source blobs (one executed, 341 skipped); this is a component diagnostic, not a green full-shard or hosted-CI claim. No timeout or source behavior was relaxed. The required gate remains failed pending hosted verification, and the existing acceptance/maintainer holds remain.
