The Project category, which lists every project and opens each one's name, icon, checkouts and removal, was hidden from the settings sidebar until a project was picked in the scope sentence. Show it for every scope so the project list is one click away. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
ApprovabilityVerdict: Needs Human Approval Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — This changes the default settings navigation by making the existing Project entry visible at the default All projects/All environments scope. The underlying project list and management flow remain unchanged, but the default product experience has changed. You can add or adjust custom eligibility rules. Learn more. |

Problem
Settings already has a project list:
/settings/projectswith no project selected lists every project, and each row opens that project's name, icon, checkouts, actions and Remove project. But at the default scope (All projects, All environments) the settings sidebar has no entry for it. The Project category only appears after you pick a project in the "Applying settings for …" sentence. Otherwise you have to know to search settings for "Project overview".So someone who wants to see or clean up their projects opens Settings, finds no Projects entry, and concludes there isn't one.
Change
SettingsSidebarNav.tsxlists Project at every scope. Clicking it at All projects opens the existing list. With a project selected it opens that project's page, as before.isSettingsOverviewVisibleand its private helper had no other caller, so they and their test are removed.docs/user/project-settings.mdnow says the Project category lists every project. No new UI, contract or server change. The list page, its rows and the removal flow are unchanged.
Scope and approval
This has no prior Ideas discussion. It doesn't add a capability. It surfaces the existing project list, which you can only reach today through settings search or the scope sentence. #10639 introduced the visibility rule without stating a reason for it. If you'd rather keep Project hidden at the default scope, I'm happy to close this and open a discussion instead.
Related but independent: #20231 keeps you on this list after removing a project.
