fix(usage): compact account rows and clarify pooled limits - #26256
Pooled usage reserves a column for every provider account even when an account does not report that window. Two session/weekly accounts occupy two thirds of a row, while a monthly-only account occupies only the last third. The pooled percentage and reset increment also look like account percentages, making the totals confusing.
Change
Divide each row equally among its reporting accounts. Label multi-account totals as an average and show the account count on web/desktop and mobile. Show the next account reset time instead of a normalized pool increment, and describe reset availability per account in the details. Preserve the account label and reset summary for single-account rows within a multi-account provider. Show small positive account refills even when their share of the pool rounds to zero.
Scope and approval
Focused correction of the existing pooled usage display: missing windows should not reserve blank columns, and account percentages must remain distinguishable from an average. No quota calculations, provider polling, or account limits change. Provider reordering is separate in #26249.
Verification
GitHub CI on current head 2b36ab37f0 passes, including lint, build/typecheck, web tests, all eight server test shards, and the aggregate Check.
Local check:changed against c6ef3b46ebed passes formatting, lint, knip, affected-package typechecks, focused tests, and React Compiler checks, including the added pooled-label assertions.
Shared regressions cover two session/weekly accounts plus a monthly-only third account; weekly 10% and 0% yield a 5% average. Chromium regressions cover single-account row context, the earliest reset even when it restores 0%, and a small positive refill whose pooled contribution rounds to zero. The relevant regressions failed before their fixes and pass afterward.
The captures below use the actual component with synthetic accounts. They demonstrate rendering and component behavior. Authenticated multi-account integration remains unverified: Maria's real-client check could not fetch limits through the available proxy (JSON-RPC -32600), and her later pass could not reach a usable live usage screen. These are verification limits, not evidence of a regression introduced here. Native mobile and Electron were not exercised.

Pooled rows now include only accounts that report each window. Web and mobile displays show average remaining percentages, account counts, next-account reset timing, and projected account percentages after reset.

Summary
Compact pooled window rows packages/shared/src/usageLimits.ts, packages/shared/src/usageLimits.test.ts
Each window row now contains only accounts that report that window. Tests cover compact rows and accounts with different windows.
Cards show average remaining percentages and account counts when applicable. Reset details identify the next account reset. Account details show projected remaining percentages after reset. Browser coverage and documentation describe the updated display.
pingdotgg/t3code#11515 — The changes address the multi-account Limits display behavior through pooled averages, account counts, and account-level reset details. They do not change proxy routing or account attribution.
pingdotgg/t3code#23916 — Rows now include only accounts that report the corresponding window, so accounts without that window do not leave empty slots.

Created a project pointing at the real /home/user/t3code git repository and a thread through the UI. On the PR, selected Codex gpt-6.1-sol, submitted a real provider turn through the local proxy, and saw usage verification provider path works. in the chat.
Opened Usage → Limits on both revisions. Both showed Codex: Codex could not read usage (JSON-RPC -32600). Refresh on the PR reproduced the same error without crashing the dialog. Not verified
The original blank-column bug could not be reproduced with real account data on main. Compact account rows, per-window averages/counts, single-account labels, earliest reset selection, and account reset details therefore remain unverified on the PR. The proxy allows real turns but its Codex usage request fails. Its management endpoint requires a separate credential not available to this task, so no authenticated multi-account usage hub was available. No mocks, fixtures, synthetic quota responses, or demo data were substituted.
Native iOS/Android and Electron-specific behavior were not exercised on this Linux web-client pass.
CI is not green: the observed head has 19 failing contexts. The aggregate Check log reports cancelled prerequisite jobs. No code changes were made, and no claim is made that existing synthetic/component tests prove the real integration. check:changed was not rerun because this pass made no changes.
Result: changed behavior is unverifiable with this VM's available account-limit access. No commits or pushes; no merge, close, rebase, force-push, or label changes.

Gate the web “After reset” row on the member refill, not the rounded pool share.
apps/web/src/components/usage/UsageLimitsPooled.tsx:194 shows the row only when reset.restoresPercent > 0. The row value at line 196 is computed from reset.member.refillPercent. restoresPercent is Math.round(member.refillPercent / members.length), so a positive member refill can round to 0 in a multi-account pool. The row then disappears while its displayed value would still be positive.
Concrete window: a member refill of 1 in a three-account pool gives Math.round(1 / 3) = 0. Whether this occurs depends on the real producer range of refillPercent. The inspected declarations and assignments only show a number, and its values come from 100 - usedPercent or the constants 100 and 0. Non-integer usedPercent values, if the provider emits them, would produce the same rounding. The inspected evidence does not establish which values the provider emits.
The pool-level restoresPercent contract at packages/shared/src/usageLimits.ts:573 and the shared test expectations stay unchanged. The mobile gate at apps/mobile/src/features/usage/UsageLimitsPooled.tsx:612 uses the same restoresPercent gate. It needs its own separate correction and is outside this comment.

Gate the mobile "After reset" row on the selected account's refill.
The row shows remainingPercent(window) + reset.member.refillPercent, but the gate tests the pooled reset.restoresPercent. That value is Math.round(member.refillPercent / members.length). A positive account refill can round to 0 in a pool with three or more accounts, for example a refill of 1 across three accounts. In that case the row is hidden even though this account's reset restores quota. The gate should test the same member value the row displays.

Following up on the verification feedback: CI is now green on a29ec1a, and the small-refill projection fix is retained in both web and mobile, with its browser regression. I consolidated the PR description around the final behavior and current checks. It explicitly distinguishes the synthetic component captures from authenticated multi-account integration, which remains unverified because the real-client attempts could not fetch usable limits. No claim of full integration approval is made.
Merged current main into fix/usage-account-rows without rebasing or force-pushing. The only conflict was the browser test file; both the compact-account regression and main's managed ChatGPT card test are preserved. Head: 802269807e34d2ff32dc9449a79fefa242667467.
Blacksmith vp run check:changed c6ef3b46ebed34fbefa1706674fe5748254cee18 passes format, lint, knip, typechecks for 33 packages, the three focused test files, and React Compiler checks. Two independent read-only code reviews found no blocking findings. GitHub reports MERGEABLE.
Authenticated multi-account integration remains unverified. The real usage page reports Codex could not read usage (JSON-RPC -32600). Native mobile and Electron were not exercised. No presentation or quota logic was changed in this pass.
The fixture has two session-reporting accounts and one monthly-only account. The current assertions do not verify the session row's multi-account branch or its reporting-account count. Add these assertions:
These assertions catch a single-account branch and a provider-wide count of 3 instead of the session row's count of 2. No other component test asserts these labels. The shared pool tests cover account membership at a lower layer, not this component's conditional rendering.

Pooled usage reserves a column for every provider account even when an account does not report that window.
