Bundled JVM gives error "Bad CPU" when trying to find Processing installation #51
I had the same issue on my new M5 Pro, "Bad CPU type in executable". Run "softwareupdate --install-rosetta" in terminal, that resolved the situation for me. Seems like the vs code processing extension runs Intel (x86) binary, rosetta translates Intel-based binaries and allows execution.
