   The instructions mention using a legacy test report format, which I'd put into https://github.com/pytest-dev/pytest/blob/9515dfa/pyproject.toml#L324-L395 as junit_family = "xunit1".

    Hi! I’ve been reading through this issue and the closed PR #13363.
    I’m currently reviewing the approach (JUnit legacy format / Codecov upload) and may try small follow-up improvements if it makes sense. I’ll post an update if I get something concrete.
