Yes, but better integrate a link shortener too. Best if this could be done via an ajax call to some existing service, although this brings up CORS issues.
Probably, but we don't use a database right now, and we'd need to host a DB to have memory for the shortener. Probably better to leave that responsibility with an outside service.
If you go to the JSON-LD playground (http://json-ld/playground/) you'll see a "permalink" link on the right side. That will take the form contents and create a URI-encoded form that you can use in an HTTP get to fill the form text boxes back in. Of course, the generated URLs can be pretty monstrous, so using a URL shortener makes the usable.

could rdfa.info host such shortener service maybe? e.g. rdfa.info/s/ErfDa (or via a sub domain s.rdfa.info)

Google hosts such a service: https://developers.google.com/url-shortener/

Ivan: similar to the JSON-LD playground permalink - example.

Hm. I am still lost. Do you mean to add something to the rdfa.info play? Or to pyRdfa? In the former case it should be Manu, and not really me...

sorry for not being more specific, this is for play only. I've added a label to this issue and updated the title of the issue.

Am I correct in assuming that it's currently not possible to for example embed an
iframeof certainhtmlto be validated by Play?
