vp dev starts Vite in projects that use Astro, Nuxt, or VitePress. Without a dev script or task, users get no hint about the framework command.

With no arguments, vp dev now checks the selected package's dependencies and devDependencies for these frameworks. If no dev script or task exists, it suggests the framework command through vp exec. Dynamic task configuration suppresses the hint when task detection is uncertain.

For an Astro project without a dev script or task:

$ vp dev
note: This package depends on Astro and has no dev script or task. `vp dev` starts the Vite dev server. To start the Astro dev server, run `vp exec astro dev`.

VitePress hints require .vitepress in the package root or under docs/. The suggested command includes docs when needed. Packages with an explicit Vite app entry or configuration do not get the VitePress hint.

The hint identifies the package directory after -C, defaultPackage, or workspace selection. Vite still starts, with screen clearing disabled so the hint stays visible. Commands started by scripts skip the hint.

For a VitePress project at /project/site with configuration under docs/.vitepress:

$ vp -C /project/site dev
note: This package depends on VitePress and has no dev script or task. `vp dev` starts the Vite dev server. To start the VitePress dev server, change to `/project/site` and run `vp exec vitepress dev docs`.

The run guide distinguishes scripts from tasks and uses the same build example throughout.
