id: implement Writer-set view projection - view projection and discovery query (design doc)

Implementation of an ID design that has not landed yet (partial implementation as of the 2026-11-04 inventory).

Acceptance, in brief: view projection and the discovery query over writer-set objects per the design doc.
Current state: writer-set objects landed (idset.rs); view projection and the discovery query are incomplete.

The design documents govern. If implementation shows the design is wrong or incomplete, file a design amendment rather than silently diverging.

Scope: pkgs/id and its tests. Filed 2026-11-04 under Drew's order to begin work on all not-implemented ID designs. Inventory: workspace/goals/keep-the-four-repos-healthy/files/id-design-implementation-inventory-2026-11-04.md (in the fleet workspace).

Completion

PR #6672 was merged with merge commit 07881600732d5e6403e0427f73d8812b27f3017a. The final PR diff is limited to pkgs/id/src/idset.rs, pkgs/id/src/idset/view.rs, and pkgs/id/tests/writer_set_projection.rs.

The fix passes &set.excludes.0 into expansion, so key, group, and Public exclusions are evaluated after admission and win as §D6 specifies. The key-exclusion test now asserts that the excluded author does not count. Test hashes use the supported Hash::from constructor.

Verification in pkgs/id:

cargo test --test writer_set_projection — 4 passed, 0 failed, 0 ignored.
cargo build — passed (Finished dev profile [unoptimized + debuginfo]).

The broader lib-test compile remains red at origin/main because of the pre-existing missing json macro / WorldClient::inject_json test code. That baseline breakage is tracked separately in #6683; it was not changed in this PR and did not block the requested build + integration-test merge gate.

Completion (fleet feature wave, 2026-11-06 evening) — recorded by the minder; the working session merged but did not leave a completion comment.

PR #6672 MERGED (merge commit 0788160, 2026-11-07T02:28:05Z). Branch ended as exactly the #5545 slice (3 files, +437): pkgs/id/src/idset/view.rs (pure writer-set view projection over a pinned snapshot with the design's expansion semantics — one-level group expansion at the pinned frontier, include_history per entry, exclusions win, Public as a deliberate signed choice), the idset.rs wiring (+3), and pkgs/id/tests/writer_set_projection.rs acceptance tests.

Verification trail (all minder-verified in the worktree, not just session-reported):

As first pushed, the PR did not compile (E0308 in view.rs — see the 01:53Z note above). The session fixed it (exclusions applied per the design) after being re-prompted with the exact error.
Final HEAD: cargo test --test writer_set_projection — 4 passed, 0 failed; cargo build for the id lib — clean.
The session's detour into world_records.rs test repairs was reverted out of the branch on minder instruction; the crate's pre-existing lib-test breakage is filed separately as pkgs/id: lib-test target does not compile at baseline (stale inject_json / json! test code) #6683 and did not block this PR.

#5545 stays open: the remaining scope is wiring the projection/discovery APIs into EventStore plus CLI commands — filed as a follow-up issue (linked below when created). No design amendments were needed.
