docs: roadmaps no longer say mcpx is vendored in dezren39/nix - #397
Conversation
The vendored copy was deleted on 2026-10-19 (dezren39/darwin-nix#468, PR dezren39/darwin-nix#469); that flake now builds mcpx from a pinned source-only input of this repo. Update the stale present-tense claims in ROADMAP.md and planning/roadmaps/mcpx.md, narrow the remaining Now work to #308 (consumption decision) and #309 (backlog re-homing), and add the single-source completion to the mcpx roadmap Done table.

Move the downstream-package row out of Now
This row declares the single-source/downstream-build work complete, but planning/roadmaps/nixos-and-infra.md:18 still lists “mcpx as a package for other flakes” as in-progress under Now and says the macOS flake still needs a way to build mcpx from this repo. Readers following the linked project roadmap therefore see the completed task as active; update or move that companion row in this change.

Fixes #396
The vendored mcpx copy in dezren39/nix was deleted on 2026-10-19 (dezren39/darwin-nix#468, solved by dezren39/nix PR #469); that flake now builds mcpx from a pinned source-only
mcpx-srcinput of this repo (verified:pkgs/mcpxreturns 404 on nix main; nix flake.nix carries the mcpx-src input and the comment 'the vendored one was deleted in #468').Changes (docs only, 2 files):
ROADMAP.md: mcpx focus, the Now item, the 'One source of truth' theme row, and the dezren39/nix related-repo row no longer claim mcpx is vendored there / becoming the only copy; the Now item is narrowed to the genuinely remaining work.planning/roadmaps/mcpx.md: intro corrected the same way; the Now 'One source for mcpx' row is replaced with 'How downstream flakes consume mcpx' (mcpx: decide how downstream flakes consume mcpx (sub-flake or the root flake) #308 consumption decision + mcpx: re-home the open mcpx backlog from dezren39/nix, with this repo as the single source #309 backlog re-homing — both still open, not marked closed); Done table gains the single-source completion row (2026-10-19, mcpx tests: assert the spawn happened in TestEnsureDaemonCancelledWhileWaiting #362 + mcpx: delete the vendored pkgs/mcpx; build from pinned developing-today/code input dezren39/darwin-nix#469).Verification: post-fix grep for the stale claims ('vendored in', 'Vendors mcpx today', 'being removed', 'Becoming the only copy') in both files returns nothing; tables re-padded to the files' existing widths.
