Per Drew's 2026-10-20 instruction: set both web-search enable flags and the interesting experimental OpenCode flags in repo config.

Adds to home.sessionVariables in home/common/default.nix:

  • OPENCODE_ENABLE_EXA, OPENCODE_ENABLE_PARALLEL — websearch tool works with any provider, not just OpenCode/Go
  • OPENCODE_ENABLE_EXPERIMENTAL_MODELS
  • OPENCODE_EXPERIMENTAL (umbrella; code mode keys off it)
  • OPENCODE_EXPERIMENTAL_PARALLEL, _PLAN_MODE, _SCOUT, _WORKSPACES, _LSP_TOOL, _OXFMT, _EXA, _EVENT_SYSTEM

Deliberately not included: OPENCODE_EXPERIMENTAL_NATIVE_LLM (held) and the filewatcher disable (Muse-sandbox-only — its home dir is a giant git worktree where whole-tree watching stalls sessions).

Companion: dezren39/darwin-nix#529 (same set in that repo's home configuration). The same flags were enabled and verified live on the sandbox's opencode server today.

Adds the flag set to home.sessionVariables: OPENCODE_ENABLE_EXA and
OPENCODE_ENABLE_PARALLEL (websearch tool works with any provider, not
just OpenCode/Go), OPENCODE_ENABLE_EXPERIMENTAL_MODELS, the
OPENCODE_EXPERIMENTAL umbrella, and the experimental flags for
parallel search execution, plan mode, Scout, workspaces, LSP tool,
oxfmt, Exa, and the event system. OPENCODE_EXPERIMENTAL_NATIVE_LLM
deliberately not enabled yet.

Mirrors dezren39/darwin-nix#529 and the set verified live on the Muse
sandbox opencode server 2026-10-20.

Icon discovery, disable copy-on-select, and
OPENCODE_EXPERIMENTAL_DISABLE_FILEWATCHER=1 as the general default:
the working trees are giant and the watcher's live-external-edit
awareness costs more than it buys; diffs are git-computed on demand
either way. Per Drew 2026-10-20: enable basically all of them.

P1 Badge Export the flags to the OpenCode-hosting services

When OpenCode is launched through the managed openchamber, mcpx, or t3code user services, these assignments are never present: home.sessionVariables is sourced by login shells, while those services use their own systemd environments and wrappers (openchamber at lines 680-723 and mcpxEnvironment at lines 32-46). Their deployment keys also remain unchanged, so the running daemons are not restarted or handed over after activation. Consequently, web search and the experimental tools remain disabled in the repository's server/orchestrator sessions even though shell-launched opencode receives them; export the shared flags through the service environments/wrappers and include them in the relevant deployment keys.
