ApprovabilityVerdict: Needs Human Approval Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — This production bug fix changes OpenCode catalog loading from simple polling to event-driven readiness with caching, fallback retention, and new timeout behavior across the driver, status layer, and provider registry. The runtime synchronization and model-merging changes are nontrivial enough to require human review. You can add or adjust custom eligibility rules. Learn more. |

178-184: 📐 Maintainability & Code Quality | 🔵 Trivial | ⚡ Quick winThe retention rule depends on exact message strings from another package.
isPendingOpenCodeCatalogmatches literal user-facing text thatstatus.tsproduces. If someone edits that wording, retention fails silently, and cold-start catalogs go empty again. Export the two messages as constants from@t3tools/provider-opencode, and use those constants in both packages.🤖 Prompt for AI Agents

integration.listas catalog readiness. For an external connection,

Verified both open review asks against the code. No change for either, reasons below. Fingerprint match settling early ( Event stream for external connections / dropping |
A cold managed OpenCode 2 start can spend the existing five-second catalog timeout starting and verifying the server. T3 can then publish an empty or partial model list and replace the last good catalog.
For managed servers, this waits for the directory's
model.updatedevent after connection, then rereads the catalog. A managed server with no event stream reports the first read as unsettled instead of letting integration metadata mark it settled. External servers useintegration.listfor readiness. An unsettled result keeps the last known models instead of treating the catalog as empty. A failed readiness probe returns unsettled immediately instead of waiting out the 30-second timeout. The two pending-catalog messages are shared constants so the registry retention rule cannot drift from the status text. The empty-timeout case is the focus; the same change covers the partial-first-list case.Related: #15155, #15994, #16448.
Scope and approval
Focused reliability fix for an obvious defect: saved OpenCode models show Unavailable after every cold start until a manual provider refresh. No new product surface, no contract change, no default change. Restores the intended startup catalog behavior.
Verification
status.test.ts: readiness signal past the old five-second limit, partial catalog reread aftermodel.updated, last-settled catalog kept on readiness timeout, immediate unsettled on readiness failure, unsettled without waiting when no readiness signal exists, unsettled warning status. All pass.ProviderRegistry.test.ts: unsettled empty and partial catalogs retain prior models, settled empty catalog clears. 63/63 pass.driver.test.tsandopenCode2Catalog.test.ts: green.status.test.tsfull file: green except one pre-existing Windows-path assertion (reads Go limits, expects a POSIX path) that fails identically on a clean tree.@t3tools/provider-opencode) and scoped lint/fmt: clean. Repo-wide checks not run; server-wide typecheck has pre-existing failures in untouched files (outboundHttpundici import, source-controlWebSocketConstructor, GitHub GraphQL client).Known residuals: a repeat probe whose first read is byte-identical to the last settled catalog settles without waiting; server restarts bypass this via URL scoping and the next refresh self-heals. External servers keep the
integration.listbarrier rather than the event wait, so warm external setups are unaffected.Model/harness: GPT-6-Luna via opencode-go in T3 Code.
