Fixes#30850. Mention another thread with @, queue the message, then click Edit queued message: the mention changes from the thread's icon and accent color to an unavailable-context chip with a dashed-circle icon.
Change
Restore the message's known thread context records into its separate edit draft without appending or rewriting the existing references. The edit composer can then use the same thread chip as the original composer. Save and Cancel retain their existing paths.
Scope and approval
This qualifies as a very small, focused fix for an obvious bug: the saved record already exists, but the edit composer never receives it. It only changes the shared web/desktop queued-edit hook. No new feature, product default, contract, or provider behavior changes; the native mobile editor is separate.
Verification
Reproduced in an isolated Linux web dev client with the free Replay provider. Picked a thread through @, submitted its reference, queued the same message, and opened Edit. Before: dashed-circle unavailable chip. After: the thread icon and accent color return.
Saved and reopened the edited message: the chip remained resolved, with one saved thread record and no duplicated reference. Cancel cleared the edit draft and left the main composer empty.
vp test run apps/web/src/components/chat/useQueuedRunEdit.browser.test.tsx: all 7 existing tests passed.
vp run check:changed: format, lint, knip, affected typechecks, queued-edit tests, and React compiler check passed. Used before/after captures for this cosmetic defect, per AGENTS.md.
Desktop shares this web hook; a packaged macOS client and native mobile were not exercised.

Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — Queued-message editing now restores existing thread mention chips without appending duplicate references to the prompt. The change is confined to the message’s edit draft and introduces no new access or external operations.

When editing a queued message, the composer draft now receives recognized thread-context records without appending a reference. The edit state uses the context retrieved for that message.

Summary
Restore thread context in edit draft apps/web/src/components/chat/useQueuedRunEdit.ts
beginEdit retrieves the queued message context, adds recognized thread-context records to the draft with reference appending disabled, and passes the retrieved context into edit state.
Sent-message edits can still show unresolved thread placeholders; restore their thread context before merging.

Explanation
The only changed file is useQueuedRunEdit.ts. The change imports asKnownContextRecord and filters context records to kind "thread". It then calls store.addThreadContexts with { appendReference: false } for the queued message's existing context. Those records are then stored on the edit as before, and the existing text and attachment handling is unchanged. This change connects directly to the visual defect in #30850: the edit composer receives the saved thread context that drives the thread chip. No unrelated behavior, product default, or contract change appears in the diff. The change does not add a new feature. The PR description notes that the native mobile editor is not changed, which matches the diff.

Explanation
Issue #30850 reports the loss of thread mention formatting after Edit on a sent message. The reviewed diff changes only apps/web/src/components/chat/useQueuedRunEdit.ts (+13/-3). That hook restores known thread context records into the composer draft when a queued message enters edit mode. The PR description and its verification cover only the queued-message path ("Edit queued message"). The issue's sent-message path was not exercised. The inspected code does not show that the sent-message Edit action uses useQueuedRunEdit. The sent-message edit path was not located within the inspection budget, so it is unknown whether it still drops the thread chip. The queued-edit change is a plausible fix for the same visual symptom, but the issue requirement is not shown to be met for the sent-message flow.
Resolution
Provide evidence that the sent-message Edit action on a user message reaches useQueuedRunEdit, or identify the separate sent-message edit code path. Then show that this path restores the thread icon and accent color for a thread mention. An automated test or a reproduction of the sent-message flow at the reviewed head would resolve this.

Restore thread context in the sent-message edit path.
The sent-message action bypasses useQueuedRunEdit.beginEdit. Restore the selected message’s known thread records in rewindToMessage after setting the prompt. Use appendReference: false so the existing reference is resolved without duplication.
