fix(mobile): markdown images no longer shake on Android - #27943
On Android, a markdown image in a thread, and all the text below it, shakes by 1 to 2 px at about 20 Hz without being touched. Seen on a Galaxy S25 Ultra (density 2.8125) in the mobile app.
Cause
expo-image on Android reports the decoded bitmap downsampled to the current frame, so the same 1000 px file reports 969 px wide on one load and 970 on the next. ThreadMarkdownImageView stored each onLoad size with setDecoded, so every load resized the frame (201.66 vs 201.87 dp tall). The resize reloaded the image, which resized the frame again. A temporary render probe counted about 1,100 renders of the frame in 10 s with the screen idle.
Fix
Keep the first decoded size per sourceKey and ignore later loads for the same source. A new source still gets its own size.

Tests
New case in ThreadMarkdownImage.test.tsx: "keeps the frame size when the same image reports a different decoded width". It fails on main (frame height 201.665 vs 201.873 after a 970 then 969 load) and passes with the fix. Format, lint and the apps/mobile typecheck are clean.

Walkthrough
The image component now includes an asset revision in its source key when available. The image view retains the first decoded dimensions for each source key. A regression test checks that a later decoded width does not change the frame width.

The load handler keeps the first decoded dimensions for a source key. The test captures image load callbacks and verifies that a later decoded width does not change the styled frame width.

Prefer knownSize when it is available.

Prefer knownSize when it is available.
When the first Android decode reports a downsampled size smaller than knownSize, the current precedence pins that smaller size for the sourceKey. A later increase in available width then remains capped by the decoded dimensions.

Update the source-size selection in the ThreadMarkdownImage flow keyed by
props.sourceKey to prefer props.knownSize when available, using decodedSize only
as the fallback so a downsampled decode does not cap later rendering.

@coderabbitai On the follow-up about preferring knownSize: skipping. Android downsamples the decode to the frame in pixels (frame dp times density), so the pinned size is already larger than the frame it was decoded for, and resolveMarkdownImageDisplaySize caps the frame at 480 dp anyway. It would only bind if the available width more than doubled after the first load. Flipping the precedence would also change main's existing choice of the decoded size over server-reported dimensions, which is outside this fix.

@voida6 Understood. I won’t press the knownSize precedence change. Keeping the existing decoded-size precedence avoids a separate behavior change and keeps this PR focused on stopping the Android image shaking.

Learning: In pingdotgg/t3code's vendored react-native-enriched-markdown package under apps/mobile/deps, Android's MediaSlotView.heightPx tolerance handles differences between the Yoga measure-pass width and the laid-out width. That measure-pass width does not reach JS. EnrichedMarkdown.kt emits frame.width from PixelUtil.toDIPFromPixel(view.width), and useMediaSlots.tsx styles the React slot with width: frame.width. Thus mediaOverrideForFrame and acceptMediaMeasurement compare post-layout widths. Do not infer that their sameMediaSize tolerance must match the native measure-pass tolerance; widening it can accept stale measurements after a real width change.
Android's expo-image reports the decoded bitmap downsampled for the
current frame, so the same file alternates between widths (969 and 970
of 1000). Each load resized the frame, which reloaded the image, in a
loop of about 110 renders a second. Keep the first decoded size per
source.

Key the pinned decoded size by file revision too, so a workspace file
that changes keeps its own frame while a re-signed URL does not reset it.

Reset the size for mutable tool outputs without a revision.
A tool can replace an image at the same index. When the refreshed asset result has no fileRevision, sourceKey remains unchanged, so the load handler keeps the previous dimensions for the replacement image.
Use the refreshed URL as the fallback identity for mutable tool outputs without a revision.

Verified on Android emulator (API 35) against a real dev server
Verified head 9db8519abc0898a57f4b0d6287d8aac1867077df on the t3 Android 15 emulator, using the cached native dev client, Metro, and an isolated dev server. Created a real project through the app and ran three real Codex gpt-6.1-sol turns through the local proxy. No mocks or demo data.
The agent created a 1000 × 585 PNG and embedded it above text. At density 2.8125, temporarily using github/main's ThreadMarkdownImage.tsx in the same app reproduced idle movement: the recorded image bottom alternated between pixel rows 1793 and 1794. Restoring the PR component held that edge at row 1793 in the recorded idle samples. The comparison changed only that component; it was not a full main checkout. The working tree is clean again.
Also opened and closed the full-screen preview, returning to the thread successfully. A further real turn replaced the same PNG path with a 400 × 800 portrait image. After refreshing the asset by opening its preview, the thread displayed the new portrait frame correctly. The existing asset cache initially retained the old image until that refresh.
