refactor: errors are Schema.TaggedError, not Data.TaggedError or native Error - #31216
Effect code across the repo still used Data.TaggedError and plain Error subclasses, so errors had no schema and the two Effect language-service rules that catch this were off.
This turns on preferSchemaTaggedError and extendsNativeError as errors in tsconfig.effect.json (mobile inherits it), and converts all 43 + 24 hits to Schema.TaggedError. Tags and message text are unchanged. Causes use Schema.Defect(). Positional constructors (RemoteEnvironmentAuthTimeoutError, …UndeclaredStatusError, BrowserControlInterrupted, DeviceScreenshotError, VoiceTranscriptionError, etc.) now take an object, and computed messages moved to message getters. The conversion trips instanceOfSchema, so each instanceof on a converted class is now a module-level Schema.is guard. yield* Effect.fail(new X()) became yield* new X() in the two MCP bridges.
Behavior change: former native Error subclasses now carry a _tag equal to the class name, and .name comes from Schema.TaggedError. Nothing reads .name.
Remaining suppressions (extendsNativeError:off):
apps/server/src/provider/documentTextWorker.tsTruncation: the worker loads no Effect runtime, and this is a local throw sentinel.
packages/provider-cursor/src/server/CursorSdk.test.ts, sdk.test.ts: fakes that stand in for the Cursor SDK's native Error classes.
Verified: effect-tsgo tsrs --noEmit is clean in all 39 typechecked workspaces, vp run check:changed passes, and the tests next to the changed files pass, server tests included.
Macroscope's review found this PR requires human approval — The refactor standardizes error definitions and handling around Schema.TaggedError. It also adds a line-level static-analysis suppression for the document-text worker, an exception that requires human review.

This pull request migrates error declarations and error checks across desktop, mobile, server, web, and shared packages to Effect Schema. It also updates error construction, related tests, and Effect diagnostic settings.
Changes: Effect Schema error migration
Layer / File(s)
Summary
Desktop and mobile error handling apps/desktop/src/{ipc/methods,snapShot,ssh}/..., apps/mobile/src/...
Desktop and mobile error types, checks, and constructors adopt Schema. Capture, SSH, preview, ZIP, MCP refusal, and voice-transcription paths retain their described classifications and messages.
Server errors and preview automation apps/server/src/{http.ts,mcp,orchestration-v2,preview,project,provider,scheduledTasks}/...
Server and project errors use schema-backed declarations and constructors. Preview automation retains its described tags, messages, and conditions while using Schema errors and predicates.
Web error handling apps/web/src/...
Browser, cloud, device, worker, preview, and settings paths use Schema tagged errors or predicates.
Client runtime, shared, and SSH errors packages/client-runtime/src/..., packages/shared/src/..., packages/ssh/src/...
Error declarations and consumers use Effect Schema, including structured constructor arguments and schema-based checks.
The migration preserves existing bridge messages that may expose response snippets. No new merge-blocking runtime risk was identified.

Keep transport failure messages bounded.
bridgeError exposes cause.message or String(cause) to the ACP consumer. HTTP-body and JSON parse failures use this mapper, so malformed response content can appear in AcpRequestError.errorMessage. Keep the underlying failure in cause, but use a fixed transport message.

? cause
: new AcpMcpOverAcpError({

cause but expose only a bounded, non-defect-derived message to ACP clients;
establish the transport contract’s accepted client-visible message before
changing it, and do not derive the message from cause or its string
representation.
