What I resolved

The merge itself was clean; the daily job's verify failed on typecheck in apps/desktop. Upstream pingdotgg#31218 (e313a12245) moved desktop Effect code to read env through HostProcess.Environment and removed the restoreEnv test helper. The fork's backend heap headroom (NODE_OPTIONS, the DesktopBackendConfiguration.ts row in docs/coil/SEAMS.md) still read process.env and its three tests still called restoreEnv. I ported both to HostProcess.Environment, so the tests now provide the env instead of mutating process.env.

Seam review: the other fork-touched files upstream changed this range (source-control clone service, IPC channels/preload, contracts) merged cleanly and typecheck; the source-control tests pass. No upstream apps/marketing changes this cycle, so nothing to port to coil-home.

Locally: vp run typecheck and vp run lint green; DesktopBackendConfiguration.test.ts (20) and apps/server/src/sourceControl (80) pass. coil-ci is the gate for the full suite.

Closes #222.
