feat(gitlab): link issue, merge request, commit and user references - #30524
GitLab merge request descriptions and comments showed #1, !5, commit SHAs and @user as plain text. The GitLab definition had no referenceAutolinks, so web and mobile linked nothing. Closes#30522.
Change
New gitLabReferenceAutolinks, built from GitHub's referenceAutolinks.ts and using GitLab's own grammar:
#12 links to /-/issues/12 and !12 to /-/merge_requests/12.
A qualifier can be a sibling project (api!9 resolves to <namespace>/api) or a full path, nested groups included (group/sub/lib#2).
A SHA of 7 to 40 characters, optionally project@sha, links to /-/commit/<sha> and shows the first seven characters.
@user and @group/subgroup link to /<name>. @all stays plain text, because GitLab has no page for it.
changeRequestUrlFromReferenceAutolink used to return null for GitLab. It now returns the link itself when the link is a merge request URL. Web passes reference links through it before reading a preview, so !5 gets the preview card and opens in T3. #12 is always an issue on GitLab, so it stays an external link.
The client-runtime and mobile tests that pinned "GitLab links nothing" now use Forgejo, which still has no grammar. The comment on changeRequestUrlFromReferenceAutolink no longer says it's only for hosts that route every reference through issues.
Web and mobile needed no change. Both already render whatever the definition returns.
Scope and approval
GitLab definition, plus one doc comment in source-control-core. No contract change. Tracked in #30522.
Verification
New tests in referenceAutolinks.test.ts cover:
every reference kind, including sibling and nested projects
full SHAs shortened to seven characters
URLs, escapes, emails, words, plain numbers and @all left alone
linear time on long runs of ., - and /
references after punctuation, and a mention before a full stop
a self-managed host
sourceControlClients.test.ts checks that a GitLab merge request link is its own change request candidate.
vp run check:changed passes: format, lint, knip, typecheck (18 packages), 72 tests. The mobile autolink test passes too.
Manual, web dev build against !10. Its description says "closesoxc stack #1, follows up on !5, related to TonybynMp4/git-ansible-fork@dac72fa1 and dac72fa1…, cc @TonybynMp4":
All five references became links with the expected hrefs.
Hovering !5 showed its preview card.
Clicking !5 opened !5 in a new tab inside T3 and opened no browser tab.

GitLab descriptions and comments now link `#12`, `!12`, `project!12`,
`group/project#12`, commit SHAs and `@user` mentions the way GitLab
renders them. `!12` links the merge request itself, so it opens in T3.

Walkthrough
GitLab reference autolinking now recognizes issue and merge-request references, commits, and mentions. The GitLab source-control definition registers the autolinker and returns URLs that match the change-request path.
The parser generates links for issues, merge requests, commits, and non-all mentions. Tests cover qualified project paths, valid and invalid references, and link labels and URLs.
The GitLab definition registers the parser and returns URLs whose paths match CHANGE_REQUEST_PATH. Client tests cover the URL behavior. The mobile no-link test now uses a Forgejo fixture.
Some commit references remain unlinked, and links may be incorrect on path-prefixed GitLab installations. The remaining risk is limited.

Explanation
[#30522] The parser, candidate handling, documentation, and test changes support the requested links. Since the previous review, authorProfileUrl also changed to return GitLab author profile URLs. That behavior is not described in the issue or the whole-PR summary. The incremental diff does not establish whether this change was introduced by this PR or is needed for description mentions. The whole incremental diff was unavailable.

Verified unchanged head c67b8ec05f776a5a6c5571c2479caaac324dbbf9 on Linux with the real dev web client, repository Playwright, and /usr/bin/google-chrome.
Reproduced on github/main (d51bc58f5e) in a separate worktree: the five references in the same public GitLab merge request description remained plain text.
On both versions, created a project pointing at a real GitLab checkout through the app and ran Codex gpt-6.1-sol. The turn executed git remote -v, completed, and returned the merge request link. Clicking it opened the actual GitLab merge request inside T3.
On this head, issue, merge request, cross-project commit, full commit, and user references all have the expected GitLab destinations. Both commit labels shorten to seven characters.
Hovering !5 loads its actual preview. Clicking it opens merge request 5 in another T3 panel tab without creating a browser tab.
Nearby behavior: #1 opens the GitLab issue externally (GitLab redirects it to its work-item page); merge request 5's Code view loads its real two-file diff.
Blacksmith: all 64 focused tests passed across the GitLab parser, client markdown, source-control clients, and mobile autolinks. The PR currently reports 34 successful CI checks. No source changes were needed.

Native iOS/Android and Electron clients, self-managed GitLab, and authenticated GitLab comment rendering were not exercised. No GitLab credential is configured on this VM; public descriptions, previews, and diffs load, but the app reports a partially loaded comment conversation. Mobile parser coverage above is automated coverage, not native-client verification.
