fix(gitlab): merge messages drop agent credits - #30441
"Remove agent credits when merging" had no effect on GitLab. The service only applies it to providers with api.mergeMessageRewrite, the GitLab provider had none, and glab mr merge always let GitLab write the messages from the project's templates. Closes#30440.
Change
The GitLab provider sets mergeMessageRewrite: removeAgentCredits and passes removeAgentCreditsOnMerge through to the CLI.
With the flag on, runMergeRequestAction reads defaultMergeCommitMessage, defaultSquashCommitMessage and squashOnMerge over GraphQL. The read comes after the existing --sha guard, so a push in between fails the merge instead of merging commits these messages don't cover.
It passes --message when cleaning changed the merge message, and --squash-message when the merge squashes and cleaning changed the squash message. glab rejects --squash-message without --squash, so the flag is added for projects that always squash, where GitLab squashes anyway.
Messages with no agent credits are left alone, so GitLab still renders them.
Messages carry credits only when the templates pull them in, through %{description}, %{all_commits} or %{co_authored_by}. GitLab's default templates don't, so most projects see no change.
Scope and approval
GitLab adapter only. The setting, removeAgentCredits and the service gate are shared and unchanged, so web, desktop and mobile follow. Enable auto-merge goes through the same path. Tracked in #30440.
Verification
New CLI tests fail on main and pass here: squash, merge, and merge on a squash-always project each get cleaned messages and keep a human Co-authored-by. A merge whose messages carry no credits gets no message flags.
vp run check:changed passes: format, lint, knip, typecheck (11 packages), 139 tests. All 164 GitLab package tests pass.
Manual, web dev build with the setting on, against TonybynMp4/git-ansible (merge commits, squash always, templates using %{description} and %{all_commits}). Both fixture merge requests carry a Claude Code footer, a Claude trailer and a human co-author.
Before, on main, !7 kept every credit.
After, !8 lost the footer and the Claude trailer and kept Ada:
The double blank line comes from removeAgentCredits, which drops a footer line without collapsing the gap around it. GitHub merges do the same, so I left it out of this PR.

Walkthrough
GitLab merge actions can remove agent credits from default merge and squash messages. The provider enables and forwards the option. When enabled, the CLI reads GitLab’s messages and passes changed messages to glab.

Summary
Merge message query and decoder packages/source-control-gitlab/src/server/gitLabMergeRequestJson.ts, packages/source-control-gitlab/src/server/gitLabMergeRequestJson.test.ts
A GraphQL query and decoder return the default merge and squash messages and the squash setting. Missing messages decode as null, and responses with GraphQL errors fail decoding.
Provider and CLI option wiring packages/source-control-gitlab/src/server/GitLabPullRequestProvider.ts, packages/source-control-gitlab/src/server/GitLabPullRequestCli.ts
The provider configures agent-credit removal and forwards the option. The CLI action input accepts the option.
Message rewriting and validation packages/source-control-gitlab/src/server/GitLabPullRequestCli.ts, packages/source-control-gitlab/src/server/GitLabPullRequestCli.test.ts
When enabled for merge or auto-merge, the CLI removes agent credits from applicable messages and passes changed messages to glab. Tests cover merge and squash arguments, and messages without agent credits.
A small class of GitLab merges can still retain agent-credit text despite the removal setting; the change is otherwise mergeable with this follow-up tracked.

Explanation
Issue #30440 requires that, with "Remove agent credits when merging" enabled, GitLab merge and squash commit messages drop agent footer and trailer credits and keep human co-authors. The reviewed head implements this path. GitLabPullRequestProvider sets mergeMessageRewrite to removeAgentCredits and forwards removeAgentCreditsOnMerge. GitLabPullRequestCli.runMergeRequestAction reads the merge and squash messages and squashOnMerge over GraphQL (MERGE_MESSAGES_GRAPHQL_QUERY, decodeMergeMessagesJson) after the existing --sha guard. It cleans each message with removeAgentCredits. A changed merge message is passed as --message. A changed squash message is passed as --squash-message, and --squash is added when it is not already present. If cleaning leaves a message blank, the MR title is used, so glab does not drop the message. Unchanged messages are not passed, so GitLab still renders them. The new CLI tests cover merge, squash, and squash-always cases, and the case with no credits. Coverage of the provider wiring and the decoder rests on the PR summary and the decoder test summary, not on a direct read of the changed blobs in this session. No unresolved requirement is found.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The PR changes are confined to the GitLab source-control package. They are: provider wiring (mergeMessageRewrite and option forwarding), the merge-message GraphQL query and decoder in gitLabMergeRequestJson.ts, the merge-action logic in GitLabPullRequestCli.ts, and related tests. Each change supports the merge and squash message cleanup required by #30440. The PR states that the shared setting, the removeAgentCredits function, and the service gate are unchanged, and the reviewed diff of GitLabPullRequestCli.ts does not show edits to them. The double blank line noted in the PR description is not changed by this PR. No unrelated product behavior is identified. Direct diff reads of gitLabMergeRequestJson.ts were unavailable, so the decoder content is assessed from the summary only.

glab ignores an empty --message or --squash-message, so GitLab wrote its
default message and the credit came back.
