feat(secrets): answer a secret request with a secret provider reference - #31670
Today a secret request card only accepts a typed value, so a user who keeps the secret in 1Password has to copy it out and paste it into the card.
Change
Contracts:SecretRequestAnswerInput.answer gains { type: "reference", reference: SecretReference }. A new reference_unreadable failure names the secret provider. Servers advertise secretRequestReferences in the server config.
Server (SecretRequests.answer): reads a reference answer once through the SecretResolver, using the providers in current settings, then stores the value exactly like a typed answer (one use, 24h TTL, file delivery unchanged; the agent still sees only the secretRef). It invalidates that reference before reading, because the resolver keeps failed reads for the server's life; that way a retry after unlocking re-reads without a Settings refresh. An unknown provider, a failed read, or an empty value fails with "Could not read the secret from the secret provider "…". Unlock it and try again, or enter the value." The request stays pending. The reference is never dispatched to orchestration or shown to the agent.
Shared (client-runtime/secretRequest):secretRequestSources lists configured providers this build can read, only when the server advertises the capability. secretRequestReference validates a reference with the provider definition's isReference and the SecretReference schema. secretRequestAnswerInput builds the reference answer.
Web card: the source picker from Settings is extracted as SecretSourceSelect and reused, so the user picks Value or a provider. The Value path keeps the masked input and the password-manager opt-out attributes. The reference path shows the provider's placeholder and its invalid-reference message. Like Settings, it is offered only with T3CODE_FEATURE_SECRETS.
Mobile card: Value/provider chips, then the masked value field or a reference field validated by the same shared code.
No model-facing text changed (the request_secret tool and its description are untouched).
Verification
SecretRequests.test.ts (new cases): a reference answer is read and consumed as usual, and the dispatched record never carries the reference. An unreadable reference leaves the request pending with nothing stored, and a retry after unlocking succeeds; this case fails with the invalidate removed. An unknown provider fails.
client-runtime/secretRequest.test.ts: providers are offered only with the capability and a configured provider of a known kind, and a reference answer is built only in the provider's syntax.
vp run check:changed passes (format, lint, knip, typecheck of 40 packages, tests beside changes, react compiler).
Web, live against a dev server with a 1Password provider in settings and a Haiku run calling request_secret: the picker, the invalid-reference message, and the error state shown below. The request stayed pending after the failed read. This machine has no unlocked 1Password, so a successful read in the UI was not checked; the server tests cover that path.
Mobile: not run on a device (it needs a dev-client build and a live pending request). Typecheck and the shared logic tests cover it.

A secret request card can now name a secret in a configured secret provider
(1Password today) instead of a typed value. The server reads it once through
the SecretResolver, re-reading after a failure so a retry works once the
provider is unlocked, and stores the value exactly like a typed answer. The
reference itself never reaches the agent or the thread.
Servers advertise `secretRequestReferences`; web and mobile offer the choice
only when it is advertised and a provider is configured.

Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — Secret requests can now use an explicitly selected reference from a configured secret provider instead of a pasted value. Resolved values retain the existing project-scoped, one-use storage and expiration safeguards, with Value remaining the default.

Walkthrough
Secret request answers can now use configured secret-provider references. Web and mobile forms support reference entry, client runtime code validates references, and the server resolves them before saving. Server configuration advertises support for reference answers.
Contracts add reference answers, the reference_unreadable failure reason, and the secretRequestReferences capability. Client runtime code selects configured providers, validates reference text, and builds reference answers. Tests cover source selection and reference validation.
Provider-reference selection in request forms apps/web/src/components/settings/SecretSourceInput.tsx, apps/web/src/components/chat/SecretRequestCard.tsx, apps/mobile/src/features/threads/SecretRequestCard.tsx
Web and mobile forms let users choose direct secret entry or provider-reference entry. The web settings input uses the extracted SecretSourceSelect component.
The server resolves reference answers before saving and reports unreadable references. The resolver provides provider labels for errors. Tests cover successful resolution, failed reads, retries, resolver setup, and resolver labels. Server configuration enables reference answers.

Add a "Scope and approval" section. Link the triaged issue or the discussion
where a maintainer approved the direction and scope, and include the approval
comment. If no prior approval exists, explain why this change qualifies under
the template's exemption rules. This PR adds a user-facing feature, so the
exemption for small, focused fixes or focused configuration of an established
capability is unlikely to apply. Also state the expected behavior in the Problem
section.
